When I was creating the various profession packages in Traveller Hero, I created the "Free Trader" profession template after watching the Firefly DVDs. Firefly just shouts "Traveller" when I watch it.
I got the Serenity RPG Book, and intend to post converted characters (Mal, Kaylee, etc.) to this blog from time to time. We shall see how much free time I end up with to do that.

    I agree - when I first watched Firefly, I thought it was exactly what a Traveller campaign was supposed to look like. Especially with the ship's Captain being ex-Army

    Key phrase: "supposed to". A lot of Traveller campaigns look more like Alien: Resurrection.

    Appropriately enough, Josh Whedon was involved in it too, even though it appears they mangled his script.
