After reading the comments on different thread on the new ST movie, and how intense people get about their fiction, it brought to mind something I've been thinking about doing for years... when I have the money to blow.

Buy a Battlestar Galatica (Original Series) Jacket. Have a Star Trek Pin/communicator. One shoulder has a Stargate Patch, the other a Babylon 5. On the back is the rising Pheonix thing from Star Wars.

Then go to a SF con and walk around.

Me I'm just a fan of SF.

Nah. You'd just look like a fanboy who really wants people to know what he likes. I've seen it a bunch at cons. No biggie.

What you'd really want to do would be to go all out in your gleaming white Stormtrooper armor... carrying a TOS phaser.

or the body armor of a stormtrooper, and a Master chief helmet -- painted white to match the armor.
