Hello All, I believe I have the answer already but want to double check. When you calculate the cost of an Ultra Slot, it is based on the ACT points in the slot NOT base on the cost of the MP. I’m reworking Blue Jay. She has an MP that 75 pts but its OIF so she pays 50 points. Her two slots are Ultras which both work out to 75 Active Points each Slot however she is listed as only paying 5 Points per slot not 7. Am I correct?

Hi Hero friends! I wanted to let you know that I have a Kickstarter running that is superleaping towards a stretch goal with none other than Steve Long handling the writing chores. This project is an expansion of my first RPG supplement. This time around it isn't for Champions, but as a veteran of Hero System gaming, it is hard to take the Hero out of a writer, so it will be easy to convert. Please give it a look and help us get some fresh supers content from a legend! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/blessedmachine/campaign-city-supers-for-savage-worlds

Real people whose counterparts would be supers in a supers world. Charles Lindbergh 1. Traumatized by a terrible crime, the kidnap and murder of his child. 2. Had the best cutting edge aviation technology of the time 3. Had a flashy nickname "The Lone Eagle" 4. Eugenicist who allegedly also worked with Alexis Carrel a French surgeon who dreamed of improving humanity both through genetic improvement and cyborg replacement of body parts. Helped him invented a mechanical heart valve. 5. Denied the opportunity to join the military due to his Isolationist history, actually flew a few combat mission…

I've been wondering if the fourth edition is still in use and your opinion of it for a play-by-post game.

One of the world's most enthusiastic explorers of alternate realities is Doctor Odysseus. These are a few of the worlds he has visited and named: Gaia: The Champions Universe. Alternatively, your homegrown campaign universe if it could be the birthplace of a dimension-hopper named Doctor Odysseus. Hera: A universe where the most powerful supers got together and created a standardized set of laws that they would enforce on the entire planet of Earth. National governments still exist but their ability to make and enforce criminal laws is restricted. One of their laws is the one requiring every active super to join their gigantic super-team. …

For those superheroes who check their Horoscopes: Aries-As a crimefighting Aries you take the initiative. You have a pioneering spirit and are willing to take action while others debate. That said, the 'bad guy' you are about to perform a move through on as you have a life and death battle on a tall roof is just a very realistic looking image power. Taurus- A Tauran superhero such as yourself should not neglect his deep need for artistry even in the battle for justice. Sadly, the mayor, while probably asking for it, will not appreciate it when you turn his limo to modern sculpture. Gemini-Gemini superheroes are fun loving, talkative, and quick thi…

One of the players wants to create a Rapunzel-type character, with long hair of course. I'm not sure what to suggest other than stretching to grab things at range (her hair), or maybe martial arts. I know the Tangled tv series had given her hair addtl powers, such as a forcewall (her hair protects against dmg), and of course, healing. Any suggestions?

I've always wondered this... How many points did Dr. Strange use from his Magic VPP to take down Galactus with Strange's "Summoning all the ghosts of the people you've killed"? Remember, although originally Galactus had to eat rarely (once a century, I think) for most of his billions of years lifespan, he has had to snack on a planet about every month when he started taking heralds (centuries or millenia (sp!) ago, judging from the fact that the Sivler Surfer's race lives thousands of years.) So, how many points are we talking here?

I'm having a senior moment. I'm trying to remember the name of the guide that has DEMON, Scarlet Moon, and I think two others in it. Anyone remind me what it's called?

In your character's adventures he or she encounters "Wynnie Wonder", who seems to be a super heroine in her late teens, or at least certainly no more than twenty. A typical flying brick in her power set, her personality is kind, wholesome, and brave. She protects the innocent, values life, and tries to be a good role model. If she has a failing it is that she can seem a bit of a Goody Two Shoes. Some heroes may also be surprised to find that they make a doll of her, and other toys related to her. They appear to be quite a hit with young girls. Even boys are sometimes caught watching her cartoon, though she'll never be the most popular hero, since she just isn't cool enoug…

Since I'm running Mutants and Masterminds, but in a predominant Champions universe, I thought I would share some of my doodles as I get them done for my game. I'll post stuff here occasionally. this particular beastie is being written up in MM, but was already featured as a Champions critter. Neil has the file on this one (as do I, but it is so buried in my mac, and it is a creation workshop file and won't be read by my mac) I'm hoping y'all can convince him to post it here. Anyways the art is below. Have fun. {If you are curious about the MM stats, here is the thread to that...page 7} http://www.greenronin.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1570

So, my minions are of the age where they would like me to run a game of Champions for them. Since one works full time and has a social life, and the other is busy with school, recess and astrophysics, I decided the best way to introduce their young minds to the setting is through little video snippets, posted to Youtube. Since the minions actually like them, I thought I'd share the video links with all of you, in case you'd like to check out the setting for yourselves. Innovation City - Intro Dr Slater Outback

I was reading through the new Champions supplement Lifted and started thinking about how campaign worlds might be structured without using the classic comic book superhero/supervillain tropes. If superhumans don’t take part in the cosplay out of comic books, how would they engage with society? Would it be X-Men anti-mutant paranoia? Some other sort of dystopia? How would governments react to suddenly having superhumans in their midst today, regular people suddenly having godlike power, without a history going back to World War II? I imagine the first instinct would be to try and control superhumans, either by force or threatening their loved ones. …

As a high school teacher, I have just agreed to be the faculty advisor the my school's D&D Club. Mainly, that means they'll be meeting in my room, and I'll be making sure they don't set the place on fire. Unofficially, it means that I'll have a semi-captive audience to introduce to the wonders of the Hero System. Now, I don't want to freak them out with the (alleged) complexity of the game. And honestly, I haven't GMed or played for about a decade, so I want to keep it simple for me, too. So here are some of my thoughts going in: I'm planning to use an earlier edition of the game, probably 3rd (but maybe 4th). I'm looking a…

Session one is in the books. I decided I was tired of dnd and got my brother and our friends interested in a champions game.( they too were tiring of dnd and everyone had played champions 20 years ago ). Had session zero last month, let them rework the kinks out of their characters in that test session. A decade ago I had an idea- there was this old game called Torg which last couple years got rereleased as Torg Eternity and reading both made me realize that it would make an awesome Champions game- why wouldn’t earth tap into its own possibility energy and create superheroes to fight back against reality raiders? Cast ( forgot to write down th…

I would like to hear what people think of this Doctor... I made him up on the spur of the moment, for a one-off Adventure that I did years ago, but the idea for the character just won't go away... Mainly, I think, because there is just so much about this character that feels right... This is an experienced character, at 20 points of experience, but shaving 20 points would let him be built at 400 points... The easiest way to do that would be to reduce the points for his bases and followers... I laid out 100 points for the cost of a Base, and gave him 64 of them, so lots of opportunity for point shaving there... Also, he has this many followers so he can have 33 Agent…

I've looked through the books, and found no guidelines to this... How much of a Villain Bonus is needed for a Master Villain... I remember something about this in earlier editions of the game, but in 6th edition, I can't find anything... Can anyone point me to any guidelines I've missed...?

What are some of the more exotic locations from your various (Champions) campaigns? I'm not talking about which real-world foreign cities and/or nations you've used; I'm talking about places most mundane people won't even necessarily know about or at least not be able to visit. What are the counterparts to Latveria, Themyscira, and Atlantis in your games? To help get this started, here are some of the ones I've used. CK: Heinlein Station, at Luna's South Pole AK: Luna, Earth's Moon CK: Port Olympus, on Mars AK: Mars AK: Jovian Space; Jupiter and its Moons AK: Cronian/Saturnian Space; Saturn and its Moons …

So if someone were to, say, set up a super basic campaign as a followup to Champions Begins, what kind of things do you think it should have? I'm thinking a neat base, a basic big city, a few useful NPCs, and a string of loosely connected adventures leading up to a finale. The PCs would be what players want to make, and the book could include super basic ideas on building characters. I'd like to see the Goodman tips brought back, too, stuff we vets all know but new players would find useful. They could even carry over Champions Begins characters if they want. The adventures maybe we could update and reuse some from the old Adventurer's Club magazines, for …
