If I want both Flash (Sight) and Blast (AVAD: Flash Defense [Sight]) to be used at the same time I apply Linked. But you're not allowed to Link two slots in a Multipower, and I don't know how to put two different effects on "line" so they count as one slot. Is there a way to do this, or do I need to use Flexible slots?

Hi folks, I am familiar with how to add custom languages to HD by using custom templates, but that removes the standard Earth languages. What I want to do is to add additional languages that are not from Earth, but retain all of the core languages. Is there a way to do that?

Do I build Reach as a separate Power with the appropriate Limitations based on the weapon (Power or Equipment) that grants it? Or is there a way to build Reach officially into a piece of Equipment or Power? Alternatively, is there a way to link Powers in Hero Designer? Ok, in my post-GenCon creative burst, I am fixing the couple of errors I found in my export format that I used for GenCon. There are a couple of things I am manually editing in the RTF because I was having problems getting them to do what I wanted. I am trying to fix that now (particularly Combat Maneuver), and I want to use some end notes with symbols. Other than just making a big list and seeing what prints out, is there a list someplace so I could figure out which codes do what?

I'm getting a weird error when trying to Export some vehicles, but not all of them. I've had the same error with "RPM_PublishedVehicleSheet_6E_dlc.hde" (which I don't remember where I got) and "RTF-Vehicle Sheet Deric Page.hde" (which I downloaded off the forums thinking the previous export was corrupted). It's the same error with both, but it doesn't occur with all vehicles. It says, "Error Message: For input string "-4-10"." I feel like I'm missing something very simple, but I have a four-month-old, and as a result, I'm too tired to think it through.

Using HERO Designer build 20230715. When selecting the "Requires A Roll" (RAR) limitation, and selecting a Skill Roll or Characteristic Roll, how can I specify the Skill or Characteristic to use? I know I can just make a note and do the calculation, but it would be nice to auto-calculate the resulting roll required based on Active Points and the Skill/Characteristic it is based on. I'm also thinking of the upcoming Foundry HERO module and having that information in the character file for automation. Thanks!

Hi, I have been trying to work out how to add negative stats to an equipment prefab. For example, armour that provides rPD, rED, but a -1 to OCV, due to its bulk. If this functionality isn't there, can we add it so you can add negative characteristics to a compound power? Or if there is a solution that would also be awesome. Cheers

When I create a vehicle for 6th edition, any attempt to do a sellback for STR & BODY, upon selecing the value for the 2nd characteristic, I get this error message. Is this expected behavior? (As far as I've been told, this restriction was removed for 6th edition) As can be seen this is a template for Vehicles 6E...please reference the image below:

What is everyone's opinion on the best Export option for printing? I've looked at a few of the HTML ones and there are some offset page breaks that can be deal breakers for me. Anyone know of one that works pretty well, particularly for newer players?

While using Multipower on the current version I noticed the Active Points and Display Active Points looked strange. If the window is too narrow the Display AP tries to crawl over on top of AP. Anyone else getting this? Windows 11 Laptop

If I create a Variable Power Pool it gives me the option to define its Type: Gadget Pool, Magic Pool or Mimicry Pool. At first I thought this would apply some pre-defined modifiers but that doesn't seem to be the case. Is there any mechanical impact to picking a Type, or is it just a way of reinforcing the fiction like the Special Effect option does? Very impressed with the program by the way; I keep discovering new things I can do with it, but at the same time the interface is surprisingly elegant for something so complicated. A huge well done to its designers!

I was building a character with a computer brain and was putting the unified power on everything the computer brain granted. The book states this limitation can be put on any game element. The computer brain grants the character various skills including KS and SC. Since it can be put on any game element I tried putting it on the skill enhancers. The idea would be it reduces the cost of the skill enhancer and the skills purchased in the skill enhancer. When I did that it reduced the skill enhancer properly, but it reduced the actual skill too much. I was purchasing the skill based on INT which is normally 3 points, which would be reduced to 2 points before the limita…

I believe the rules say that Suppress is built from Drain with modifications. I tried to figure out how to do it in Hero Designer, but couldn't. Then, I had the idea to check Dispel. The options were there. I agree that Dispel seems like a better fit for Suppress than Drain. Was this done on purpose? Have the rules been updated and I just don't have a recent copy of 6E?

I will admit that I did not look too hard (only the 1st 5 pages) but does anyone know why HD does not automatically add the bonus stats you get from Growth to the base characteristics like it does for Density Increase?

Shrinking has a Modifier, Easily Perceived. It says the PER penalty doesn't get applied when it would be. Per 6E1 283, this is a -1/4 limitation. HD has it as -.5, so -1/2. Main6E dated 7/31/2022, which is the most recent I have.
