1. AVAD value for Social Defense

   If using the Social Combat Maneuvers rules from APG 2, page 85, is an official value given anywhere for the frequency of Social Defense if used as an Alternate Defense for an AVAD power? Or is it up to a given table to decide for themselves?

2. Multiform and Instant Powera

   If your Hero uses an instant power like Aid Entangle, or Barrier and then multiforms into a different form without those powers, do they immediately go away or do the effects remain? What about healing?

3. Temperature Level Adjustment

   Hey all. When utilizing the Change Environment for Temperature Level Adjustments what does each value mean. Does a +1 mean a +1 degree of temperature (like from 70 degrees to 71 degrees) or a +1 class of temperature (like from cold to warm or from 70 degrees to 80 degrees). Thanks all in advance.

4. Defensive Throw Question

   In the description of the defensive throw, it states that the actions that take place are "Block, opponent falls". The question is, should this manuver be used as a block ( OCV vs OCV ) or like an attack? Or can this manuver be used in both instances in which it can be used as a block that results in a throw or just as an attack? Thanks for any help. Gith

5. Unified Power on a multipower.

   Looking up unified power the book states it can be applied to any game element including slots in a framework. Can it also be applied to the framework itself,more specifically a multipower? If so what happens when a power in the pool is drained? Does it have a double effect since it is draining both the pool and the slot?

6. Damage Reduction & Damage Types

   On page 55 of Champions Complete under Damage Negation, it says... "If applied to attacks of a specific Special Effect, it works regardless of how the attacks are built, but it only works against attacks of that Special Effect, and it gets no Limitation for this." However, on page 11 of Champions Powers, under Acid Proof, we get this build... "Variant Acid-Proof: Change to: Damage Negation (-8 DCs Energy) (40 Active Points); Only Works Against Acid (-1). Total cost: 20 points." Which is correct? Doe Damage Negation not get a Limitations?

   Luck is normally a talent. Can I add "Unified Power" to it to make a mutant power of luck (assuming I give him other powers with the definition "Mutant Luck Powers")?

9. Hound 13's Martial Arts

   I just had a thought about Hound 13, a young mutant whose powers are all based on Luck. One thing which got me thinking is that he could possibly possess Martial Arts under the special effect that he is lucky (dodges out of the way for the last second before his opponent could hit him, wild swing punch which actually hits a cluster of pressure points at just the right time, etc.). Considering this is a part of his mutant powers, is it legal to buy his martial arts with the Unified Power limitation? Should it be bought per manuvers, or through the entire martial arts?

10. How many limbs does it take to Block?

    Does Block require the use of one (or more) fully manipulatory Limbs? What are the limits on "valid SFX" of a Block? 1) if a character has both their arms disabled does that render them unable to Block? 2) if a character is using their one (or more) manipulatory limbs by maintaining a Grab, are they unable to Block and maintain the Grab? Presumably this would be identical for the regular vs Martial versions of these maneuvers, but if not please detail that (and if allowed, why the difference).

11. Base Defense of Mental Entangles

    When building a Mental Entangle, the rPD/rED converts to rMD. But how much per die of Entangle? I.e., if I buy 1d6 Entangle (10 Base Points) and apply the modifications to make it a Mental Entangle, does it now have 0 rMD, 1 rMD, or 2 rMD? EDIT: Apologies for editing my question after an answer was posted - I gained additional info after the fact. I've found 4 examples in various 6e books that have a Mental Paralysis - yet *all* of them list PD/ED, and not Mental Defense... A regular Entangle gets 2 pts of resistant defense (usually 1 PD/1 ED) per die of Entangle, plus more Defense can be bought at a rate of 5 pts per 2 pts of defense (with limits on how 'off-…

13. Movement END cost

    Pn pg 41 pf 6e1, it says to determine the END cost of Running as if you paid Character Point costs for the movement. Thus, Running 12 m would cost 12 Character Points, which means it would cost 1 END to Run 12 m. I am not clear on the math here. How did 12 Character points end up equal to 1 END?

    What is the rule for multiple items in a multipower? It looks like all of the canonical HERO/Champions characters have the multiple items outside of a multipower but a player of mine thinks that it's legal. 16. Fully invisible EGO drain - what would be the symptoms (if any)?

    Hello all, As a GM, I have created a siren-type NPC who has a fully invisible EGO drain only vs. men. I'm curious - what would the male heroes feel (if anything)? 17. Possible to use Flash as a means to explain ear-splitting pain

    In my campaign, I have a character that has a portable AI that is capable to do visual and audial illusions. In one scenario, there are a pack of wolves attacking the team and the player doesn't want to kill the wolves but drive them away. I entertained an unspoken rule to say that you can cause an Ultrasonic Ear-Splitting pain in an AoE that encompasses a cavern they are all in with an exit. The player is programming his AI to release an Ultrasonic-level, high amplitude sound, which would cause pain to the Wolves. 19. Can Breakout Rolls go below 0?

    If a character is attacked by a Mental Illusion (or Mind Control, Telepathy) that is cumulative, has just a high dice total, or rolls really well can the defender end up with a Breakout Roll of -1 or lower? I know a character always succeeds on a Breakout Roll if they roll a 3, but has the Breakout Roll increases by 1 every step on the Time Table a negative number would be a huge benefit for the attacker.

    Growth gives you Extra Reach... But if a character is Large all the time, you are directed to buy all the pieces you would get from Growth as permanent abilities... In that case, how do we buy the character's Reach...? All the other bits are priced in the system, but not Reach...

22. Proficiencies and Skill Levels

    Page 56 of 6th Edition, Volume 1, states that Skill Levels may not be applied to the 8- chance resulting from a Familiarity. But it doesn't explicitly state that this restriction applies to a 10- Proficiency. In another thread, someone suggested them as a less expensive version that a series of overall skill levels could benefit. Is this allowed, or does the restriction apply to Proficiency as well...?

23. Can a character make a Combined Attack using Attacks that are different slots of the same Multipower?

    The Multiple Attack rules (6E2 73–8 and includes the rules for making a Combined Attack on 6E2 74) on Power Frameworks, in part, says, "A character can make a Multiple Attack with two or more slots in a single Power Framework" (6E2 78). However, making a Combined Attack with the same resources isn't mentioned specifically. With that in mind, assuming a big enough reserve, can a character make a Combined Attack with two or more Attacks that are different slots in the same Framework?
