The Barrios
A lower income neighborhood struggling to stay safe and vibrant. Hispanic and African American communities abound which has led to a vibrant nightlife with great places of food, music, and cultural events. Unfortunately, gang wars are common here with local police underfunded and undermanned. Outreach programs help, but some people have taken a more private war attitude to tackling the problems.
