  1. Droid Brains (Star Wars)

It could be as simple as a Radio Perception/Transmission connection between the droid and the ships computer...all you're really doing is offloading the astrogation calculations to the droid. You can go down fancier (and more expensive) roads and experiment with telepathy and mind control...seems like overkill though,
  2. It should be possible to add in a portrait...let me play around with it a bit and see what I can do 😀
  3. Hi All, I've been working on a little side project for myself and have created a mobile friendly export template with a built in die roller. This project is now out of beta and available at
  4. Conditionally show ECV?

Is there anyway for me to show ECV only if the character was created using the 5th edition rules? This is for a template that I'm working on.
  5. Sweet! I'll update the file notes.
  6. Thanks 😀 I'm not sure why but Chrome wouldn't allow me to open the file properly. I think it has something to do with the way Android is passing the file into Chrome...just a guess though. The HTML viewer is not ideal (I'd much rather just use Chrome too) but it works.
  7. That's interesting, I didn't know that. I figure that a better random number generator isn't going to hurt anything per si but I could shave off 7k from the file size without the MT lib...
  8. I looked at the die roller you supplied and I really like it although it is using Math.random()...I'll probably switch that to use the Mersenne Twister lib in the codebase. I think I may replace the "Free Form Roll" tool with it to let people really make some unusual rolls and roll combinations using a text input field. I will probably retro-fit the first 2 tools to use this lib as the back end but keep the frontend the same. I think I should add a stun multiplier slider to my damage roll UI now that I'm thinking about it...
  9. Nice, I'll look at incorporating it into the app.
  10. Players wanted in Kitchener-Waterloo, ON

Too bad Good luck with your search
  11. Hi, I'm looking for people who would like to join me for a game of either Champions or Fantasy Hero (5e). I have Campaigns running in both with a small group of mixed gender players. I'm new player friendly and require no experience in the Hero System, just a desire to play and have fun...I'm just getting back into gaming after a long hiatus myself My Champions game is being run closer to a street level game (250 points, 40 AP cap to start). It's set in Millennium City and has more of a "regular people with powers" vibe. As it's a lower power campaign you can expect a more gritty, visceral combat with blood being drawn (on both sides). It's mostly inspired by the latest crop of Marvel shows on Netflix so if you're a fan of those shows you may like the game I'm running. My Fantasy campaign is being run in the Turakian age setting circa 5000 SE. The characters are in the process of freeing a small town from the grips of an Orc led tribe of non-human raiders. There's also a mysterious and powerful wizard who seems to have taken interest in the PCs and has interfered with their adventures for a yet unrevealed reason. I'm looking for 2-3 players who can make a Wednesday and/or Saturday game time at 8pm in Kitchener, game times are flexible...the current dates were just pulled out of a hat. Please respond with the day(s) you can attend and the campaign(s) you're interested in joining. Feel free to contact me via this site or directly at sentry0@gmail.com Thanks for reading

6e_mobile.hde View File This export template will create a HTML5 mobile app that you can use on your phone/tablet/laptop/PC. I've included a dice roller that is suitable for use in your sessions as a dice replacement...I've ran a session where we used nothing but this app and a pencil and paper and it actually worked out pretty well. In some cases (particularly around calculating damage) it's actually faster than rolling all those dice and calculating BODY, STUN, KB, etc. You can use this on a regular PC it is really meant to be run on a mobile device so I would encourage you to try it out that way. You can also use the developer tools in Chrome to simulate a mobile device dimensions by hitting F12 and hitting ctrl+shift+m...pick the device you want to use. You could also just shrink your window down real small Usage Windows and Linux Install the attached .hde file as you would normally Export your character using the new template Android (Option 1) Export the character using the new template Save the webpage to your Android device Install a HTML viewer like Visor HTML Browse to the saved webpage from step 2 in your HTML viewer (important - open the file from within the app itself, there's some issue with loading it from the file system that's beyond my ability to fix) Android (Option 2) Export the character using the new template Save the webpage to your Android device Install a webserver (I recommend kWS Server) Start your server Browse to the saved webpage from step 2 Mac I'm not a Mac guy but I imagine the usage would be similar to Android...sorry! 15. Latest update: Dropped the Math.random() calls in favour for random numbers generated by a Mersenne Twister library Added a "Roll Again" button to the "3d6 Roll" so you can make multiple checks quickly Tweaked the spacing on the main page so it should display better on an iPhone
  16. Another update. Moved the die rolling menu to the main page so it's easier to get to (one less touch/click) Added a logo to the main page Reorganized the damage result page so it's easier to read Damage roll results now show the STUNX, BODYX and NSTUN intelligently
  17. I just updated my export file template...all dependencies are now embedded in the file. If you want you can now view this file without installing a webserver on a mobile device. You will need to install HTML viewer like Visor HTML and open your saved file using that app.
  18. There's a surprising amount more dark meat on Gnomes compared to a Halfling.
  19. I'm looking to take the plunge into 6e and would like to know what are the essential books that I should look at purchasing. I like both Champions and Fantasy Hero so I would appreciate it if suggestions could be broken into the following 3 categories: Core Champions Fantasy I'd really appreciate some background on why you think a book is essential too if you're so inclined Thanks!
  20. Diving Into 6e - Book Suggestions

Thanks for the tips re: Champions vs Champions Complete I'm in no actual hurry to convert to 6e, I'm actually compiling a list of books for my family and friends for x-mas presents...I'm notoriously hard to buy for (apparently). The only rule that really appeals to me from 6e is the nerf to killing attacks stun multiplier (a.k.a. the stun lottery) and I've already backported that to my games. I also like the idea decoupling primary and secondary characteristics the way they did but not enough to consider it a "killer feature" of 6e that would make me want to switch. What I'm really saying is: thanks guys for helping me compile my x-mas wishlist
  21. Diving Into 6e - Book Suggestions

Thanks for the warm welcome to the boards. This isn't my first account actually, it's just been so long that I can't remember any of my details so I created a new account. I think my plan of attack is this: Buy the 2 core rulebooks electronically Buy physical copies of the Champions and Fantasy Complete books That should satisfy the rules junkie in me but also be pragmatic in terms of lugging books around. I have a bunch of books from 5e that are still easily used in 6e, some if which seems to have no direct successor. I can look at building up my 6e collection of books organically from this point. Thanks again everyone, this was exactly what I was looking for.
  22. Diving Into 6e - Book Suggestions

Nice, thanks for pointing this out.
  23. Diving Into 6e - Book Suggestions

I see, I think I would prefer to have a book book but PDFs are cool too. Alright, well thanks all for your help...very informative.
  24. Diving Into 6e - Book Suggestions
