hi archer,
sometimes wish i was still living in the dallas area, i lived around the Greenville and east Dallas 'hood, i have great memories and gaming memories. Lost all contacts and names though, sorry. I think you shouldn't have any problems finding gamers though I think there's a real active community maybe try out the comic shops and such first,
good luck
good gaming
If only you knew how many times I've heard "Hey, I used to live in the Dallas area..." and "Hey, we're in a campaign right now but we'll let you know when we've got a space".
Go to the con next weekend and make some converts!!!
www.condfw.org
You can even take an effigy of an elf, beat the snot out of it in the dealer's room. Someone is bound to ask, "What is your problem, dude?"
Whereby you give your patented, "Elves suck!" speech and show them the glory of the hero system...

Con? Next weekend? DFW??!?! Thank you, Mullet Man!
You are most welcome! I hope it doesn't disappoint you or turn out to be a dud.
Just kidding about the "Elves" thingie. I share your sentiments in this regard, to a slightly lesser degree.![]()
No worries.I know I'm a bit of an oddball around here re: elves.
Archer, Aaron Allston is planning to attend ConDFW this year (according to his website).
Yeah...he's listed on the con web site as one of the guests. Hmmm...... that just might convince me to buy Champions and get it autographed.
Hi there,
I am forming a group here in Arlington, right smack in the middle of DFW. I'm about two blocks from Six Flags. I have two players and some on the hook. If you're still looking', let me know. If you found a group and there's openings, let me know.
When we get enough players, I am hoping to get everyone together and hammer out the details (what genre, power level, house rules, where we play, and on what night), I can run and am ready to do so, but would prefer to play if we have a more willing GM.
Drop me a line.

I'm not so good as a GM, but can if no one else will.
How often are you looking at playing? I could probably make Arlington once a month or so.

I'm running a mailing list called dfw-gamers@yahoogroups.com for anyone in the DFW area looking for any kind of games.

Hi Archer,
I'm planning on playing once a week. It seems that even every other week seems not to be enough to keep players interest for long. If we can find someone in your area, maybe you'd think about carpooling? I know its a long drive. I drive to Denton and back five days a week. Or maybe we can find a player in between who wouldn't mind hosting the games at their place.
We have three people here in Arlington and my place is pretty central right now.

The issue for me isn't so much the drive as the fact I've got a wife and a one year old. Though I will say that closer in means more gaming (perhaps twice a month). Don't get everyone to warp their whole gaming schedule around on my account, though.
Just posting to say, "hi, I'm in Dallas."
Are you on the dfw-gamers mailing list?
