    A "rank" question...

What is the "rank" system for posters and at what point do you go from one rank to the next (i.e., from incompetent normal to... ???)

    Inquiring minds and all that,

It follows the chart on page 15 of FREd. Look at the total column on the right of the chart. Those are the cut-off numbers.

    Ranks

In the HERO Discusion threads, Ben mentioned that it pretty much matched the point system in FRED. For example, at 25, you get dubbed a 'standard normal'.

    Actually

On Nato's boards I had it set up like you said Hermit... now it's taken exactly from p15 of FREd. Also, at 1000 you become a Millennium Master and at 2000 you become a Double Millennium Master.

At 3000 I delete your ID because you're spending WAAAAY too much time on the boards.

See how often the simple solution eludes us... or at least me anyway.

    Thanks.

    Preparing to toot horn.

The current rank system was my suggestion on Nato's boards.

So if you like it, praise me.

If you don't, ummm, errrr, welll, it was completely Ben and Nato's idea!

    Talking Funny thought

Narrator voice: It is some time later, and the 'new' boards are now broken in. Steve Long sits down in his daily routine, sacrificing an hour of his time to answer questions on 5th Edition.

He loads up, only to find... (dramatic music)

    Steve: "My account's been deleted?"

He checks, and finds Ben's Email explaining that Steve is at 3000 posts, and thus ...

Ben: "You've been spending WAAAY too much time on these boards."

Steve picks up the phone, and dials...

Steve: "Hello, Darren? Yeah, this is Steve. Ben's getting cocky again..."
