If I were to purchase a 10 issue subscription to DH, could I pick and choose the issues I wish to buy, or do I have to get each issue as it comes out.

No, you get to pick any one you want. There is a list that comes up, and if you want to buy that issue on the list you click it, and it moves it to a purchased issue list. So you can never pick the same issue twice by accident, and you only have to get the ones you want.

Yeah, I knw how the list pops up with what issues you haven't bought yet. It's good that I can pick and choose, since my work has appeared in five out of the past seven issues, I'd hate to have to buy copies of issues I already had.
