    Racial packages and custom templates

I'm trying to make a racial template for HD where our GM has adjusted the base characteristics (i.e. not all 10's). I'm running into a problem with SPD. Our Gm as adjusted the base DEX to 18, base SPD to 3. But HD seems to only accept whole numbers for base spd in the templates. And if I set SPD as base 3 in the template, then HD sets base SPD of a new character to 5.8! (The base 3 plus 1+(DEX/10).)

How do I 'fix' this? Has anyone run into racial package prolems like this?

    A very odd construct there....

No one has tried to do something like that before, to my knowledge.

That said, I don't see any problem with allowing decimal values for the base of a characteristic....those characteristics that are integer value only will just ignore it/round it off.

I've got things changed around, so just wait for the next update.

How cool! A much better answer than I expected. I'll let you know how that works out. Thanks!

    It works

    Dan,

Just an FYI that your decimal fix worked like a charm. Thanks!
