The funny thing about it is, I usually don't drink coffee. And I almost never eat or drink when I'm working, because I'm afraid I'll spill something on the keyboard, or my notes, or a reference book. Occasionally I do treat myself to a smoothie, tho.

I thought maybe Darren had a setup like I read about in Barry Trotter and the Unauthorized Parody . The publishing company kept Rowling in a basement room with a metal floor wired to administer electric shocks when her word per minute count dropped below a certain level.
