    Forum Oddities

I've noticed a couple things that seem (to my untrained eye) to be problems with the forum software.

    1) I have set "Use 'Email Notification' by default?" to No in my profile, but I still get emails every time one of the threads I'm following receives a new post. Very annoying.

    2) The birth date listed when I click on the Profile button at the bottom of one of my posts does not match the date I entered in my profile. It shows December 31, 1969 instead. Pretty minor, but why is this happening?

I had this very same problem; I had to unsubscribe to the threads manually!

Go to Profile -> Subscibed Threads and click on Unsubscribe From All Threads. That will stop the emails, but the black dot next to the thread heads will still appear, so you know which ones you've posted to.

Same here. I believe it is intended to represent the official Hero rule that you cannot be over age 35 and still play Hero Games. The Rules Police should arrive shortly to seize all your books.

Either that, or it's the earliest date the software recognizes.

I thought it meant you can't be UNDER 35 and play HERO.

Thanks, but I like the Subscribed Threads feature as I tend to read those threads first (as they have been newly posted to) but dislike the repeated emails.

But . . . Isn't that what the subscription feature means? That you get mails when they are updated?
