    How does your character look under others' house rules?

    I thought it might be interesting to take any character someone wants to submit and see how they'd need to be "tweaked" for each person's house rules. In other words, sort of the opposite of the usual character creation/criticism process wherein we try to be "orthodox". This time, mark it all up and add "MORE DEFENSE!" "NO SUCH THING AS TRANSFORM!"

    I can submit something but am tired and lazy, and besides would like to just try my house rules out to be honest on characters not originally conceived for them, plus really want to see others.

    Any volunteers?

    Ummm... my usual characters would hemmorage blood just from converting into 5th Edition.

    I have two posted online, 4th Ed. Feel free to convert. Just wish I had Mayday typed out. ShadowCross ( http://www.geocities.com/cyn_starwar...hadowcross.htm ) is a Dark Champions style martial artist who uses a staff weapon that has anti-grav built into it and a spring loaded blade. Underwent chemical therapy and training to increase her stats to 20+.

    Mystery Disads were our House Rule, the GM had something he wanted to do and it was a surprise for later.

    Found her! Mayday, the original GM built 250 (+10 free skills) sheet. 4th Ed.

    Concept: A mentalist brick, designed to take down other mentalists. (a buffed up PSI was the campaign's villain.) Her 300 pt sheet arsenal includes a variety of EGO BLASTS with varying special effects (AE, 0 END, AP), and she has Telepathy, Mind Scan, Invisibility and some Overall levels, plus more MDefense.

    You'll need to cut her down to 265, that's the first thing!

    Martial arts are different in my game. Each 5 points' equivalent of MA equals a +1/4 advantage on STR.. So for these 28 points' equivalence of MA, you'll instead apply a +1 3/4 advantage on STR which in this case = 26 points. So you'll save 2 points with your lower STR.

    Hmm, offhand, I'd say Red Enigma is at least capable of lifting other people's house rules, and he's reasonably invulnerable so he's probably be ok if they fell on him. After all, he possesses metaphoric strength and a casual disregard for reality. OTOH, he's not currently allowed in any of my circle's games. Too darned annoying, I'd suspect.

    Actually, the mystery disad belonged to the wife, who played in the game briefly. Although she no longer plays, Namor is still my character's father-in-law. Admittedly, this has been more of a plot device than a disad lately, thank goodness. Talk about the father-in-law from hell, sheesh.
