Question Is this an appropriate topic for DH

Long and short, I have certain ways of building things covered in TUV that were not included, in essence I have unofficial ways of handling Shuttle crafts, combining Mecha, and other such vehicle issues, wondering if writing them up as an alternate from the "official" way would be a worthy DH article

Ultimately that's up to passing two hurdles.

First you have to convince Dave it would be an interesting article worthy of DH publication.

Then you, through him, have to convince me that there's some merit to publishing alternate rules on the subject in question.

The first is probably the easier hurdle, but neither are necessarily impossible.

I take it a simple statement of "My way is better, nah nah a boo boo" would not be enough?

NOTE: This post is a joke, in no ways am I saying my way is better (a prefrence does not show superiority) or should actualy be official, but rather it is a way of showing the versitility of the system by showing other methods

NOTE2: Weird, I originaly posted the note in Greater/Lesser than symbols and it disapeared

Hmph... I can see a couple of other ways for handling shuttles (Duplication comes immediately to mind, though about eight months later than I'd prefer), but Combining? I was pretty sure that Steve and I, between us, had all the bases covered. What did we miss?

I just sent you a long PM, that essentialy explained my method in detail. I then sent it to you and reread the entry in TUV and realised it was already there...(uses both Duplication and Multiform)...oops

But After I write it I would love you to read it before I sent it off...

BTW: Duplication does not work well for sub vehicles like shuttle crafts, as if they are damaged and redock then the ship mysteriously takes damage

Like Steve said, I'm always up for clever ways to use old rules. But if you'll be introducing some new or variant rules, that's a little harder to slide past the boss.

That would have to be either handwaved or addressed with a special Adder or Advantage, so you're right -- it might work, but not well. Summon (with the Specific Being and Amicable Advantages) would probably be better.
