    (OK?)

I know this isn't a rules question, but I wanted to ask the single person in all of HEROdom who would know for sure.

What is the picture on page 195 supposed to be? I have stared at it. My gaming group has stared at it. Non-gaming friends have stared at it. Complete strangers have been shown it. None of them can make the least bit of sense out of it. It's vaguely reminiscent of that Gary Larson "Cow Tools" comic, in that it really seems to trying to mean something, but we just can't see it.

It's taken from the old supplement Champions In 3-D. When created, it was intended to poke fun at then-Line Developer Rob Bell as an inhabitant of "Wimpworld"; Andy chose it for that page because it was the best illo he could find of a character who was limited or restricted in some sort of "generic" way.

So if the viewer were to sneer at the wimp then turn right, he would enter a place where the wimp was really powerful suddenly?

    Not exactly,

Wimp world was a joke, it was a dimension where no one was brave, that EVERYONE was a nerd/wimp/coward...where the greatest superpower was a BACKBONE. It is filled with every bad stereotype you could think of. I think it was included as just a joke, but if you used it it was to help ofset some of the UGLY worlds like Chthula worlds...
