    Sidekick prize donations

Not sure if this is better posted in the Legion of Heroes forum, but here goes.

I'm taking over as organizer for the ENWorld Chicago Game Day; it's a day of gaming at Games Plus in Mt. Prospect that we do 2-4 times a year.

Even though ENWorld is generally a d20 fan site, volunteer GMs can run pretty much anything they want. We regularly have Call of Cthulhu games, and even World of Synnibar once. (I played in it; it was a blast, but the game is definitely as bad as you've heard. Maybe worse. )

Ergo, I figure that at some point I'd like to run a Sidekick demo event, and maybe give away copies of the book to everyone who signs up. I'd be happy to buy the copies myself, but I was wondering if DOJ would be willing to donate copies for that event, or, barring that, donate a copy of just about anything (even a Digital HERO subscription) for the general prize drawing we do between the moring and afternoon sessions.

This isn't urgent, as the next event won't be for a little while, but I figured I'd ask if this is even something DOJ would consider.

Heh. i was just thinking about this while in the shower. I'm running a game Saturday at GameStorm and wanted to at least have a copy on hand. Maybe I'll pick up two so one can be a prize. All depending if I make it the shop and they have it.

Buzz - I will help out in Mt. Prospect

Buzz, if you need more GM's for Mt. Prospect, IL game day let me know. A "damaged" copy of Sidekick would be a great prize. The "damaged" condition is usually trival damage (I would do that level of damage after a few gaming sessions.)

I ran at Detroit Gameday Jan 31 and wished I had Sidekicks. Hero was very well received.

Here's a pic. It was a good day.
Legendsmiths presents: Narosia * Sea of Tears, a complete fantasy setting for the Hero System.
... plus a pretty good Fallout conversion as well.
