    Mental Classes Missing?

When using a mental power (such as telepathy), the dropdown for class of minds is empty now. Is this the way that mental powers will be in the program or is this an error? Using 2.24 with the heroic template, if that matters.

Is there any way (short of rewriting template) to put things in the dropdowns within the program? If I read the documentation right, to add that in as an extension template, I'd need to do that to all templates that I have, since you can only use one template at a time, correct?

    1. Check your preferences. You likely have FREd unchecked.

    2. You are correct. Though, as an alternative, you could create a single extension template which defines those powers that you want and then have all of your other custom templates inherit from it.

    1. I'm not sure that's it, but it may just have been a hiccup in my computer - Fred's checked, and everything is back as it should be.

    2. Can extension templates work in sequence, or have multiple BuiltIns? By this can I use Heroic as the base, put another template with my powers/groups/classes/etc, then make my racial templates based off the second one? Would it use the Heroic template also since that is what the second uses? If it doesn't work that way, a simple "No" will work for me until I learn more about how to write the templates - the docs look good, but I need to learn the language first so I can do more than play around.

I've noticed this with a lot of the pull down menus (notably the versus in the EB and KA powers).. it won't display the template items (such as PD/ED or the classes of minds) until After I go into Preferences and hit Done forcing it to reload everything.

I don't do anything else (click any check boxes or change any preferences) .. just force the program to reload the prefs. and then the pull down menus are populated properly.

I figure this might be some kind of loading problem somewhere. Not sure though.

I've noticed that Mental Defense is not listed in the "Display" section of Mental Defense (where it once was) anyone else?

Yeah. I've been building a lot of equipment lately (guns and such) with RKAs, it never seems to display PD/ED in the pull down menu. I've just been typing it in mannually. Its only two key strokes. I haven't gotten around to messing around with Preferences yet.

    2. That's exactly how they work. The extensions can go on as far as you want.

Try the current interim build....it will fix that issue.
