    Update.jar in Zip form?

I've downloaded HD updates before, and it very simply replaced my old update.jar with a new one.

Now, for some reason, with my new replacement HD (thanks Customer Service!) when I tried to download 1.16, it does so in .zip form, and obviously doesn't replace the old update.jar. If I'm to manually extract these files... and I've done so, in the HD file... it doesn't do anything.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks

You have to make sure you renamed the file to "update.jar". If when download it you did not add the .jar part it will save the update as a zip file.

I am not sure what system you are running, but I am running Windows XP and when I first bought HD my computer was doing the same thing to me.

When you download the file set the file type to "all files." This should allow you to save it as an update.jar file. Otherwise save it as a .zip file then rename the file without the .zip. This will give you an update.jar file. There isn't any need to extract it.

    I did that...

... and it still saved it as a .zip file.

I've just rebuilt my computer, so maybe there is some automatic setting that is not allowing me to rename my downloaded files, but I'll try again.
