I've been running the Global Guardians PBEM Universe since 1988 and we've never had a campaign shut down because of apathy (meaning, none have ever "fallen apart").

Sure, we've had them shut down because the GM left and no one wanted to take over, and we had one shut down because it was always conceived as a "story with an end", but none of our games ever "just fall apart".

Naturally, me too, to be clear, I think my prior post implied it but let me go on the record. You can email me via the boards and I'll send you back my email address when you're ready.

Yes, We Can - we can overturn 16-20 years of increasing acrimony; we can change the level of political discourse; whether liberal or conservative, it isn't just that we can, it is that we must

    Hello Warp9
I just finished playing an 'action' type computer game with some interaction with the environment and was wondering why no one ever designed something similar for Hero / RPG

Then I came across your message. Any chance I could be part of your test group?

Thanks for giving me your addr.

I did send you a private message (several days ago) on the matter, let me know if it did not reach you (you will have to check your Hero Private Messages).

It is interesting to look at all aspects of using computers and the internet to enhance gaming.

Obviously I'm interested in on-line combat simulation programs, but I believe that there is still a place for other options like PBEM or "Play by Forum." (IMO many different options could be used in the same game)

It would be cool to hear your more of your thoughts about PBEM gaming.

What are the most important elements of a PBEM game?

What do you think about using a forum environment for gaming?
