    Stack Overflow Error

I'm having a fatal error with my Hero Designer 2.32. When I try to open it, I get this:

    java.lang.StackOverflowError
    at com.hero.objects.modifiers.UsableOnOthers.getOptio ns(Unknown Source)
    at com.hero.objects.modifiers.UsableOnOthers.getAlias (Unknown Source)
    at com.hero.objects.modifiers.UsableOnOthers.getAlias (Unknown Source)
    at com.hero.objects.modifiers.UsableOnOthers.getAlias (Unknown Source)
    at com.hero.objects.modifiers.UsableOnOthers.getAlias (Unknown Source)
    .
    .
    .

The getAlias line continues for about 17 pages in Microsoft Word.

I'm running the app on a Windows XP laptop with Service Pack 1 installed. I have a mobile Athlon XP2400+ with 448M of of RAM.

    Post the following files:

    1. appPrefs.xml

    2. trace.log

    3. Any characters or prefabs that you have set to load upon launch (including any custom templates, if applicable).

I could swear I had a character that was set to load, but I can't seem to find the file.

    Re: Stack Overflow Error

The trace.log file that you posted does not show any errors. What do you do (specifically) to cause the error to occur?

The following file (on your system) is the only one that I show as being set to open when you launch HD:

    "C:\Documents and Settings\Roland Volz\My Documents\My RPGs\Hero System\Fantasy Hero\Turakian Age\Conventions\Thief 1.hdc"

    Re: Stack Overflow Error

Specifically, when I try to open the file from the Start menu, the program begins, gets most of the way through Constructing Interface, then returns the following Fatal Application Error:

    This Application has Unexpectedly Quit.
Invocation of this Java Application has caused an
Invocation TargetException. This application will now exit. (LAX)

When I select Details, it gives me the information I posted in the first post. I should also mention that I have version 2.31 installed, not 2.32 as I initially posted.

Also, here is the file Thief 1.

    OK...finally tracked it down.

The problem is fixed in the current interim build.
