It's supposed to be dual statted for both Tri-Stat and d20.

Cool, I can use that and Reality Storm's conversion to finally see what those guys "offically" look like in Champions.

I'm sure that will be music to the GOO guys' ears.

I was hoping that Reality Storm would encourage more Champs players to pick up SAS products. SAS is a fine game, but it's been kind of languishing in terms of product support in recent months, as well as in fan "buzz." It would be great if an infusion of HERO gamers would encourage GOO to put more into it.

While it would have been nice if Reality Storm could have come out last year as planned following the momentum of the Superhero Showdown, perhaps the one-two punch of RS and The Authority will generate some excitement.

Oh yeah. Assault's cleaning his butt-kicking boots even as I type.

Mind you, he will need to organise a bit of a power-up for himself.
The character in my avatar is Captain Atom.

Gotta agree with Hermit here ... Never cared for the Authority. I'll stick with Champions stuff and maybe the occasional SAS book when I can get it.

But I thought you liked everything??? Seriously though I am awaiting the StormWatch sourcebook. More four colour and easier to intergrate into a Champions Earth UNITL setting. The Authority would more likely be viewed as Supervillians on Champions Earth.

What we really need is Strike Force Earth and Protectors Earth.

You haven't given up that hope, I hope Regarding that last sentence: A nice sentiment, but I doubt that it will come to pass. GoO is a small company with a lot of pots on the stove, the most important (to them) probably being the 3rd Edition of BESM. FWIW, I am a fan of all their (non-d20) lines and announced projects, but I still grumble about the lack of support for SAS (not too much though. it sets them on edge )

Curiously, this is probably true..despite the number of real (major threat) villains there.

What we really need is Strike Force Earth and Protectors Earth.
You don't have Strike Force, TQM? It wouldn't involve much work to update the setting and characters to 5E.

But there's so much more that could be done with it... and has been. Aaron Allston has reportedly been updating and expanding his notes on his SF campaign for years with an eye toward eventual publication. According to remarks not long ago from Steve Long, he has a ton of material written already. Unfortunately Hero Games isn't prepared to invest in publishing a non-house setting, so Mr. Allston will likely have to make other arrangements before Strike Force sees print, if it ever does.

At least there's a little hope for it, though. The prospects of the Protectors making a comeback are just about nil. Scott Heine worked a lot on his Champions By The Bay sourcebook manuscript before ICE imploded, but neither he nor DOJ have the wherewithal or interest to update and print it.

Nostalgea is a mean taskmistress LL, I look over all my old, chreished, hero stuff and would love to see much of it officially updated.

Yet for every one of us old fogeys who would enjoy that, there's someone else who's tired of retreads and wants more new stuff. Hero Games is doing their best to try to mix the new with the updated old, but I suppose that means that neither faction will be completely satisfied.

It's a weird phenomenon, though; it's not as if we couldn't update the characters ourselves for our own use. Either we're just lazy, or we want the ego rush of seeing our favorite old characters made "official" again.
