    JLA - CU Style

    Sweden is a bit slow on showing certain kind of stuff on tv, like superhero cartoons. Anyway, now the JLA cartoon has been on the Swedish Cartoon Network for a few months which has made me become quite intrested in the DC universe (Marvel is by for bigger over here).

    ... and now to the question.

    Which JLA characters (or rather homage characters) have been given stats by Hero Games?

    The matches doesn't have to be close. I just want to see how other Heor players use CU, so that I get more inspiration.

    These, I've seen myself

    The Flash = Kinetik
    Batman = Nighthawk
    Green Lantern = Metero man
    Aquaman = Prince Maurus

    Grodd's more like Evil Doc Silverback with superstrength and mental powers. Ultra Humanite would have some growth sfx strength.

    Re: JLA - CU Style

    Personally,I think that Millenium City would be a good stand-in for Metropolis.
    Evil gadgeteer levels a city which is rebuilt using the most advanced technology available?
    And what about the Amazons? Here is my take on the subject.....
    Empyreans and humans are interfertile,but most such hybrids do NOT have superhuman abilities,with the exception of the occasional woman who possesses both sets of the Empyrean genes.(Males can still pass on one of the genes,however.)
    Such women typically have immortality and superstrength (and occasionally flight),but are rarely as versatile as a true Empyrean.
    (Yes that's right! In such a campaign,Cateran would have some Empyrean ancestry.)
    In the times of ancient Greece,many such hybrids were born.Being oppressed by the patriachal society of the Greeks,they left to found their own country,one ruled by women.Using technology "borrowed' form their Empyrean ancestors,they managed to send their island "out of phase" with reality,thus making it inaccessible from "Man's World".

    I realised that I asked "homage question" before...

    http://www.herogames.com/forums/show...ghlight=homage

    .. but during that thread Marvel were more on the focus than DC. Still, I found one of the guys I asked about:

    Darkseid - Dr. Destroyer

    I've thought a bit about the places. Could this be a close enough match?

    Gotham City - Hudson City
    Metropolis - Millenium City
    Smallville - Haynesville

    Are there any Lex Luthor homage guys in Hero Universe? SAS has Janus, so after I've ordered Reality Storm, I've at least got a starting point.

    I shall re-read the AA playtest for the sorceress from Faerie.

    Thanks for the help this far.

    Franklin Stone is the president of ACI and makes a good Lex Luthor stand in. I think Skarn is closer to Darkseid. He even has the warrior children like Darkseid. Chantal from shades of black would make a good Morgaine Le Fey. I am not sure about Millennium City being Metropolis but it is as close as you can get I guess.

    The problem with most of these pairings: the CU characters are either vastly too weak/inexperienced to be good pairings, or nothing is known about them.

    I'm more intrested in the character concept, range of powers, or potential role in the campaign, than in the exact power level match.

    I just want to get some help on how to use CU characters to emulate the comics I like. Still, the Champions Universe has been around for quite some time (in one edition or the other), so it would be fun to try using CU as a starting point instead of just copying an existing setting like DC or Marvel.

    Thanks for the ideas, I shall look closer to them all.
