Discriminatory or Not?

I can't seem to find this one...

Is Normal Sight discriminatory by default? If so, is discriminatory necessary for a sense to be able to distinguish between different "individuals" in a group? Could someone with say, Detect Letters, non-discriminatory tell the difference between X and Y?

NP -- it's not inane at all. It's in the Rules FAQ under "Enhanced Senses" -- there's a description of what each Sense Group provides.
