    2 questions

    hi steve
    it is possible to a character to holding a half phase exemple my mage have speed2(6,12) in phase 12 i cast a defense spell on me (no attack action) and holding the rest to attack at phase 3




    and another character speed3 (4,8,12) lost is sword at phase 12 on phase 2 another character (partner) throw a sword to my character can i cath it even it not my phase?

    1. See 5E 235.

    2. Generally, no -- catching something ought to at least require a Zero Phase Action, if not more. But it's up to the GM to determine what he's willing to allow. In the interest of dramatic sense, the GM could let the character catch the weapon when he doesn’t have a Phase, but then require him to spend a Half Phase Action (or the like) on his next Phase to “ready” the weapon (similar to drawing it).
