Re: Program Open Issue

[B]I don't know if this has been reported before, and it is a fairly minor issue.
When I open Hero Designer the window is not expanded to fill the screen, and the bottom and right hand side are off the screen. Is there a reason why the program doesn't remember it's previous state and open full screen as I want it to?
I am using Windows XP Professional with SP1 and all current updates from Microsoft.
A lot of people seem to have the same problem. I posted some troubleshooting I did trying to analyze the problem, but that was on the temporary boards, so I'll do it again here.
If you run HeroDesigner at less than full screen, you'll never notice this problem. The problem is two-fold:
1) if any portion of HeroDesigner is off the Left or Top boundaries of your screen when it opens, it resets its Top and Left properties to be about 200 or so pixels from the top and left sides of your screen. This does not happen if you drag it to hang off the bottom or right portions of your screen.
2) HeroDesigner appears to not remember that its last state was Maximized if you close it from maximized. It does remember what its dimensions were when it was maximized (the size of your screen), but since its not truly Maximized, there is a 1-pixel or so amount of the app trailing off the screen on all four sides. As shown above, the top and left portions hanging off cause the whole app to reset its top-left corner position to about 200 pixels from the top and left sides of your screen.
None of this appears to be a Windows problem, as far as operating system protections go. Other apps do not reposition when their last position was off the screen on any side, and also remain maximized when reopened from that state.
Dan, I hope this helps identify the problem. In the meantime, for those having problems with this, I reccomend *not* maximizing the app, and instead drag its dimensions to the extents of your screen. Just be sure the top and left don't get dragged off the screen, and it'll reopen in the same place every time.
