    Throwing Things..

    Hey Steve,

FREd and Ultimate Brick says that the damage done by throwing things is DEF+BODY of object or relative STR of thrower, whatever is lower. this rule does not include the velocity of the thrown object. If - in a superheroic campain - you're able to throw stuff several kilometers, wouldnt it be adequate to add additional damage if the thrown object hit someone nearby?

e.g. you're able to throw something 60", but your opponent is just 10" away. how about to add aditional d6 or at least knockback for the 50" the object will not travel, like +1 KB per 10" unused range.

is there any official or optional rule for that?

    thanks

    Re: Throwing Things..

The velocity of a thrown object is imparted by STR. The damage is calculated from the STR used to throw it, but with an upper limit based on the solidity of the object -- the rules logic being that a rubber ball can only hurt so much regardless of how fast it travels. There are no rules for increasing the damage, and I don't see the need to create any, but I'd be the first to say "go for it!" if you'd like to home-brew your own.
