    Chicago Gameday thanks to DOJ

I just wanted to let DOJ know that the donated copy of Sidekick and HERO t-shirt were much appreicated this past weekend at ENWorld Chicago Gameday. The event was a blast, and attendees eagerly scooped up these prizes during the drawing.

I ran a Sidekick-based game that was essentially "Smallville" with the serial numbers filed off, and more super-teens added. You'll be happy to know that everyone had a great time and enjoyed learning how to play HERO (they were all newbies). You'll be happy to know that:
    • One of the players was the store owner
    • Another player said, and I quote, "You know, HERO isn't nearly as complicated as people keep saying."
    • Yet another player, dismayed that she did not win the copy of Sidekick, bought the last copy the store had on hand

So, booyah and thanks, DOJ! The next Gameday is coming up in February, so you'll probably be hearing from me.

If you hadn't started so early I would have loved to play.

    Oh well, still had fun.

Well, the schedule was set up before I took over. Keep in mind, though, there's an afternoon session that doesn't start until 4:00pm.

And heck, if GenCon can start games in the early AM, so can we!
