    Orions Arm - Possible Goldmine?

Hi guys - I was doing an exhaustive net search looking for the floorplans of any police stations, and stumbled upon this:

    http://www.orionsarm.com/main.html

Which is, well.. huge! I'm gonna cut and paste it's explanation to save my poor fingers, but ....
    >>Cut<<

Orion's Arm is the next evolutionary development of SF. It is a complete genre in-the-making, an interactive hard science space opera, a joint effort in science fiction worldbuilding, a forum for cutting edge science fiction ideas, a way of exploring a possible future that is at once alien and yet familiar, and terrifyingly possible. Here you have the opportunity to explore a vast universe, as well as to contribute your own ideas and input, helping to create an entire new way of seeing things.

I know it sounds .. overreaching.. But it is exhaustively big, slickly done, very proffessional.. You gotta see it to believe it. Just a partial list of the Alien Races is impressive..Here's where you can find the background and history of the Jade Chime Singers, an alien civilization that inhabit Chlorine worlds..

Yes! Another carrier for the meme! Orion's Arm rules!

It's an amazing setting, which I'd love to run "as is", if I ever find a group of players as enthusiastic as Mr. CraterMaker. For the time being, it's a nice place for ideas--check out the Dyson Trees! My Traveller players were caught totally "conceptually off-guard" by this.

And guess what? The PC's managed to avoid destroying it!

I'm not running Dark Champions, it's Seared Champions: burnt to a crisp on the outside, raw and bloody in the middle, with little crunchy bits falling off the edges, then seasoned to taste....

The reason most house rules suck is that they're based on the misconception that game design is easy. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

"Possible," my eye. This is a definite gold mine.
