Help me build my bot please.

Hi everyone,

New guy here and I was wondering if ya'll might help me with a character build. I have been playing alot of City of Heros online and I have made 2 characters I would really like to play as a pen and paper character game.

My first Character is a Techology origin Blaster/Defender type.

Name: Mechano-Tech
Power Origin: Robotics/AI Robot
COH Powers: Force Field and Energy Blast.
Size: 7' 6" ( open to change if need)
Appearance: Not human at all. Its a Robot and you can tell.
Power Sorce: Micro Fussion Core or something like that?

Here are the powers I want to have for my Champions Game I am looking to start.

character points 350, disavantages 150. I think thats what you will need.

Force Field powers:

Personal Force Field- self only. very high PD/ED to energy and physical damage might affect others who are held close when shield is raises (Looks like a soap bubble arround bot). Powers of bot only can pass through from inside to out.

Detention Field- Traps target villan in a bubble that leaves them immobile and protects them from attacks or attacking.

Force bolt- Minor Damage but strong knockback effect. A "get out of my face" or " Your not running away" power. Physical damage not energy I think.

Repulsion Field/Bomb- Projects a quickly expanding force field bubble centered on self or 1 other. Not much physical damage but massive knockback. Area Effect Explosion?

Force Bubble- Creats a area wall, domb, cube, etc to protect others/self from attack. High PD/ED. No Attacks coming in or out.

Energy Blast Powers.

Power bolt- Minor EB attack. Light to Mod Damage. Small knock back if any.

Power Bolt- Major EB Attack. fair to high damage. mod knock back.

Power Blast- Mega EB Attack. RKA? mod to high Damage. Strong Knockback.

Explosive Blast- Ranged Area Explosion attack. Mod Damage high knockback.

Power Erruption- Area Explosion centered on self. high Damage and massive knockback. Self Stun or K.O.?

other powers:

Strong (Bot Strength), tough (Armor PD/ED), Flights Fast, Good Combat and Defense skills.

I know this is long and seems like alot but I want to know what some of my options on power builds might be. I don't have much of a clue to do it on my own.

I know this is long and seems like alot but I want to know what some of my options on power builds might be. I don't have much of a clue to do it on my own.

You might want a multipower with various Energy Blasts/RKAs in it with advantages like Double Knockback, Area of Effect, Explosion, etc Or maybe one EB with variable advantage depending on the active point limit in your game.

Force Feild, Force Wall and Entangle would work for the force feild powers, could be another multipower (though personally I'm not a fan of putting defenses in a multipower).

Kind of a quick run down but I hope it helps a little. I'm sure you'll get better advice as well.
