    General Roleplaying?

You know, I can't say I've ever Role Played a General as anything but an NPC, and even that was only briefly.

It might be an age bias, as generals often seem older than the usual character I'd want to play. Or maybe it's the connotation that they send others to do, rather than doing themselves.

Fascinating really, I may have to make one just so I can post on this forum.

Well, generally speaking, roleplaying a general generally causes many generalizations, in general. Generally, I like to play majors, not generals. In general though, majors can be major pains in the butts, and generally cause major destruction.

Keep it on topic! We should be discussing major worldbuilding and private character concepts here!

Yes, but will he deal with it without resorting to Corporal punishment...
Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones. -Marcus Aurelius

I played one of those once, but never a general. It was a Traveller (old-school, small books) campaign and all the players were major movers and shakers in the universe. Tons of large scale political maneuvering and jockeying for position. It was a nice change of pace - being able to send people off to die, rather than being the ones sent off to do the dying.
    I know karate, voodoo too...

And I own a comic/game store. Take a look at Lost Worlds
