    Map Resources

Hi, just completed this map in Photoshop for an upcoming game and thought I'd post it here in case anyone else could use it.

You'll probably need to increase the size 150-200 % (200 % works for figures with Heroclix bases).

Completely unrealistic. For example, the women's bathroom is too small. Where would you put the loveseat and potted plants?

    Just kiddin'. Good job, man.

That's one of the things with Hero system hex-scale; both bathrooms are actually pretty roomy in real world standards.

    But not unreasonably so.
One of the odd quirks of being a heroic cartographer is that I measure things like public restrooms. Two meters by two meters is not at all unusual, even for single usage.

This wouldn't be for our game, would it? If so, bonus for me. Plenty of things for Hard Eight to throw around.

Yep, it's for next thursday. I figure there are probably more things for your character to throw that are better represented with moveable counters.

Thank god, I am not the only one.

I GM all the time and one of my great problems is I have NO sense of scale or distance. When someone tells me that something is 10ft by 10ft I just stare at them. For some reason I just can't see with my minds eye what is 10ft by 10ft.

So, I always end up wondering...well how far is X, how big is X. I haven't gone as far as measuring a public bathroom, but I may have to start.
Sigh....I am CON stunned again. Dang...everytime.

    Thumbs up Re: Map Resources

Nice Job. One minor nit, the chandeliers are oddly placed. They should more evenly placed. I'd have done something more like this:

    nice map.

I've been getting good results with dundjinni - tons of user contributed art but I am eagerly awaiting their present day art pack.

Does anyone know if there is a good resource for how big "typical" rooms of a type are? lack of this kind of knowledge results in many warehouse battles

The map pack in the hero store looks like it will get a good amount of use from me. A pack for terran empire space ship floor plans would be really really useful.

I agree with JamesG here...other than the spacing of the chandeliers...it's a good effort!

Thanks. Yeah, I didn't actually put too much time into this. The chandeliers were really more of an afterthought. My original idea was to have one over each table, but I was concerned that those hexes would look too cluttered.
