    Moving to Tuscon Arizona

    Hi All,

I'll soon be in Tuscon (Late March or Early April) and was wondering where the game stores are around the Tuscon area?

There's not many games I haven't GMd/DMd/STd/Ran, so I will be looking for a group (3-4) to begin sometime in May/June or so. Currently I am looking at running a Hero System game (Possibly Superhero or Fantasy...perhaps another Genre), though we can talk if all the players are into some other System.

My gaming style is what I describe as "Middle of the Road."

    1) I like to tell a story, but I recognize that conflict (Whether combat, social, etc), can be used as part of the story. A good ability to game in various styles would be helpful or a willingness to learn & grow.

    2) I need mature players for my games. Let me qualify that -- Mature does not mean your an "Adult." It means that you are able to handle intense RP situations and the possibility of character death among other things, all without "Ranting" & "Raving". It means that you can take both complements and criticism with equal aplumb. It does not mean "perversion" & other morally screwed-up things - though NPCs may be that way . In other words the Players should be...Mature.

    3) Again, my preferred (really preferred) system is Hero Systems, though I am open to pretty much any other system.

    4) I prefer to play at my house/apartment (Yet to be determined). My wife games, and will more than likely Co-Run the game. We have a 4-month old and you will have to be willing to put up with the occassional pauses of game for various infant needs. We also have a cat, so if your allergic to them you might not want to game with us (Unless you take medicine for the allergy) -- he's standoffish and doesn't sit in laps or come out very often when other people are around. We all come as a "Package Deal."

Any questions can be directed to m_nadrakas@yahoo.com

    Thanks...

There is a Game Daze in both Tucson Mall (West side) and Park Place Mall (East side). Unfortunately all the non-chain stores seem to have gone away.

What part of town are you going to be living in? If you're non-smokers, I may be able to supply you with three Champions players. PM me.

MegaWhooops!!! Ummm...we don't smoke. You can but not in our house. Sorry -- I know this one is a big pain for some, but we do have a baby & smoking irritates both of our noses.

    Thanks McCoy.

Actually, Hardcastle Cards & Games is still open, but it's recently moved down the street. They don't carry a lot of HERO (as in none), but I suspect if people start going in and ordering it, they'll start to carry it. Also, they now have a huge playing area.

Also, the local RPGA is running their game days out of Amazing Discoveries. I don't know the state of their stock (since I never go there) but I do know they were going to start ordering for the RPGA group, so you might find some there.

The Game Daze in Park Place Mall is by far the better store. The staff is more friendly and they actually carry almost the whole HERO line. If you don't mind the chain store, it's a good place.

    Thanks B.

It will be nice to find a store...or two. Not looking forward to treking to Phoenix, but I will if necessary (Reluctantly...).
