    Re: Pulp Hero Resources

    HERO System pulp gaming websites:

Hero Pulp, probably the most broadly useful of all such websites. Many period vehicle and weapon stats with background and illos, character Package Deals, and writeups for famous fictional characters.

Amazing Adventures! Adaptation of the setting and some of the game mechanics from White Wolf's Adventure! game, with firearms and NPCs fully statted.

Thrilling True Tales!!!, with campaign background and logs, NPCs and optional "fate point" rules.

The Odyssey League. Good campaign background and well-designed NPCs.

    Daredevils. More interesting NPCs.

    General pulp gaming websites:

    Re: Pulp Hero Resources

I picked up a program from Best Buy a few weeks ago called National Geographic Maps: The Complete Collection. It was only about $30, and it (supposedly) contains every fold-out map ever printed from the last 80 years of National Geographic. I haven't gone through every map, but it's an 8-disk collection and it has an absolute s**tload of maps in it. It probably has maps of Europe, Africa, and South America from the 30s and 40s (I don't have it loaded up on this computer so I can't say for sure what's on it). I'm positive it will come in handy for globe-trotting adventures, and I seriously recommend it for all mapophiles.

Bill -- re: NG maps, your best bets for Pulp stuff probably are:

    December 1922 -- the World
    December 1932 -- the World
    December 1933 (IIRC) -- Asia
    June 1935 -- Africa
    December 1935 -- the World
    April 1938 -- Europe

Why yes, I have been buying a lot of maps lately, why do you ask?

I bought it last year, and I second the recommendation. It's a wonderful resource.

There has to be a way to uparmor the rhinos and make them into spectacular heavy cavalry mounts for a squad of machine-gun-wielding combat biologists. Envenoming the rhino's horn is just icing on the cake. Old Man

    Re: Pulp Hero Resources

I came across this site the other day; it sells collections of pulp reprints. I haven't ordered any, and I'm not entirely sure about the professionalism of the operation, but I figured some people might enjoy knowing about it:

Some of those mini sites look pretty cool! Too bad none of my gaming groups uses minis, or I'd order some.
