Useful -- thanx!
I wish that [Encyclopedia Of Pulp Heroes he mentions was already available; it sounds like it'd be worth having. Whenever it's time for Victorian Hero, I'll definitely pick up that Victorian book.

Good sight "Question Man" I don't think that I actually have any of the "Doc Savage" novels with John Sunlight in them, mores the pity ! Any opponent who gets to have TWO goes at "Doc" must be pretty good (or damned stupid !)

For generating telegrams, newspaper articles and other player handouts there is a fantastic program called "Byakhee" (it also generates Cthulhu character sheets). It can be found at http://www.geocities.com/SiliconVall...3/byakhee.html.

Although I run a game set in 1933, this slang site should serve for any game set during the pulp era, except the very early ones (pre-WWI), or the vary late ones (1943-):
Jazz Age Slang
A guide to the vernacular of the 20's and 30's.

My home campaign is set in an alternate 30's where some pulp-tech has changed the course of science and technology. Not everyone has a taste for Crimson Skies-GURPS Gernsback style action, but everybody can use a few cool super-science toys to throw at player's now and again. These two sites proved a great resource for me:
Tales of Future Past
Enter a world where engineers have no budgets. A world where gigantic machines promise mankind a future of unlimited romance, adventure, and really big robots. It's Tales of Future Past!

"Myths and legends die hard in America. We love them for the extra dimension they provide, the illusion of near-infinite possibility to erase the narrow confines of most men's reality. Weird heroes and mould-breaking champions exist as living proof to those who need it that the tyranny of ''the rat race'' is not yet final."
