    Hero Designer in Stores?

I want to ask Darren, Tina, Ben, or Steve something here (I'd ask Andy, too, since he's every bit as much a part of DOJ as the other four, but since he basically just does layout and art direction and the only other thing I know about him is that he looks like a cute little kitten, I think I'll refrain).

The manager at my FLGS told me a couple of weeks ago that he planned on carrying a couple of copies of Hero Designer. (Yay! Buying HD without the hassle of mail order!) He asked that I not hold my breath as to WHEN it would be on the shelves; he noticed it was in his distributor's order list for May. I also noticed that FRP Games has Hero Designer as a pre-order item for May.

My question here is... Is Hero Designer slated for FLGS shelves? And, if so, is there a more precise ETA than simply "May"?

TIA, guys!!! I look forward to being able to pluck this bad boy from my FLGS (The Battlezone, http://www.the-battlezone.com/, if you're in the Kansas City area) when it hits the shelves.

At the chat last night Darren stated that they had just finished stuffing CD cases and that the first shipments were heading to Alliance (the distributor). I imagine that means that HD will be in stores in the standard one to two weeks.

    Thanks, Monolith!

Man, I wish I could get back to attending chat. This noon-9pm work schedule sucks....

As Mono says above, Ben, Tina and I passed the day yesterday shrinkwrapping and packing CDs for a big Alliance order of HD. Some distributors have already picked up the cd in a limited fashion, so some stores have had the cds for a few weeks- IIRC, RPV down in Brea was the first to commit to carrying it a couple of months ago and got the first shipment.

Alliance, in it's inimitable fashion, waited a month or so after it was available, then placed an enormous order, which we finally got sealed and shipped last night. The various Alliance warehouses should receive HD in the next week, and their stores should have it about a week after that. If your FLGS doesn't use Alliance, they can also get HD from ACD, Centurion, or any of several fine smaller local distributors, or they can contact us at Hero directly and we'll point them in the right direction. dw

In the FWIW department, my FLGS has had it for ... probably about a month now.

    So, it's out there.

Nathan, after rolling his 6th consecutive 15+, crosses out the name on his character sheet, "I'm now Chris, the Gestalt of Incompetence."

In the Me Too department... My FLGS has also had it for at least a month or more. It was the only hero product that I had to remove from my preorder (I had already bought it online)
