heh, that's ok. I have a friend whose name is as follows:
    fist name initial = A
    middle name initial = L
first 4 letter in last name = Rect

now the chool logins were the first 4 letters of our last names, then the first initial of our firsname and finally the first initial of our middle....

Her loggin was great for a few laughs.
A: "Wait, he was hiding in the OVEN?! The Oven? He ninjaed his way out fo the Oven, flew across the room and killed me...Well I'll be damned."
B: "If only I had needed to make cookies and preheated...then you'd still be alive."
C: "And we'd be eating ninja!"

Tasty toasty oven roasty ninja bread, try it now at your local dorm room kitchen. Now in new Spoon Assasin Comemorative Plastic Bags! Perfect for smothering your GM out of spite and revenge, oh wait, I ment honor!

Onyxclaw, you forgot about our other friend, D. R. Cochran. The school changed it's loggins to first initial, middle initial, then first four letters of last name. Alrect isn't so funny, but things only got worse for the good doctor.

it's better for the SATs where Alrect was instead RectAL

New Man, the team mentalist, had just been ambushed and eviscerated by a rogue vampire. He was at -5 BODY, and dying.

Me: New Man will continue to take one BODY each time he gets an action.
Thich Nat Han: New Man! Hold your actions!

The team managed to kill one of the vampires, beheading it. I didn't bother to delete his name off my action sheet, so when his next phase came up:

Me: Vampire's action. He... stays dead.
    Straight Arrow: That is comforting.

At least he'd be fairly sure he'd not be followed...

A friend of mine was GM'ing Star Wars back in the day, and once surprised the players with the sudden appearance of Stormtroopers in "Whiney Sh*te Suits"
"They sing no songs in Hel, nor do they celebrate heroes, for silent is that dismal realm, and cheerless. But the story of Gjallerbru and the god who defended it is whispered across the nine worlds, and when a new arrival asks about the one to whom even Hela bows her head, the answer is always the same: He stood alone at Gjallerbru... and that is answer enough."

We had several great quotes this week, all of which would get me banned from the boards.

Sick Joke Alert -- if you're easily offended, you might want to scroll past this (or put me on ignore for a couple days -- this thread should be on a new page by then).

D&D 3.5 in the Forgotten Realms (yes, I know ...), the session before last was trying to figure out why an army is now occupying the home town of one of the PCs. At the beginning of last session, we discovered that the 'army' is actually a military force sent by the Cult Of The Dragon. We then had to pause the action while the GM got everyone up to speed -- while our characters would all know about the Cult, some of the players didn't.

GM: (in the course of his description) They're an actual religious cult ...
Player 1: So can we get them to line up for Kool-Aid?

boardgame rather than RPG, by me in the middle of Judge Dredd.

Background. In the game you visit various sectors where crimes are reported and you then arrest the criminals responsible. This is against the other players who are playing Judges as well. If you get killed you go to the hospital and then have to come out and start trying to arrest someone elsewhere. But the vendettas the game spawns can be legendary and such fun as you seek to deprive the other judges of arrests usually by sending them to hospital or away from a crime.

    So the quote.
'Who wants to die and go to prison ?'
'We will Play Nice !' - The Society of Ben

The Tribble is angry, my friend, very angry.

People are strange when you're a Tribble, faces seem ugly when you're alone.

For two years in a row the Bunny has cheated me out of the NGD Presidency. BOO HISS !!!

Somewhat gaming related, but really funny... to us at least.

Proditor (on these boards) and I were exchanging a few PMs about Heroclix... at the same time he is PMing with Dave Mattingly on a reformatted DH ariticle.

He opens an e-mail he thinks is from Dave, in response to the article... it says...

“Man... that sucks. Ok... well, worth a try at least.”

So... after he grabs his personal defibrulator... he notices that the message is actually from ME.

Glad to know he had a sense of humor on this one... and I appologize for the emotional kick in the gut. Sorry dude!

Well, this is from Mutants and Masterminds and not Champions but what the helL

Setup: We were using European characters for a one shot adventure. Some Atlantians had stolen a powerful artifact and we had been able to track them down to a small island. Looking out the windows of our plane we see a bunch of robed people and I say:

"We was lookin' for fishmen, not bleedin' druids!"

The G.M. almost spewed pop he was laughing so hard.

While packing up the miniatures after our epic 2 year story finale (see http://www.herogames.com/forums/show...769#post784769 for details), I mentioned how the Hitler-in-a-Jar figure took up too much space in th tacklebox-of-doom.

Jim said "It's too bad were never got to fight Hitler-in-a-Jar."

Terror scoffed "Ya wanna see how you fight Hitler-in-a-jar? Watch."

She knocked an empty Pepsi bottle off table.

"Oops, crash, done. Is the strip club still open?"

Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...

In the HU mail game I am running, a group of players are trying to deal with an imposed dream. Ashlee (Liz) and Nathan (Clyde) have just caught up with and were separated from Jacob (Jim). Ashlee sent a long post on how she would hold people together if they had to so they wouldn't be separated again.

This is the reply from Clyde:

Oh yeah! She *so* wants me! thought Nathan to himself as Ash finished her little speech, then replied, "Sure thing, Sweets."
