    Version shows as "Pre-Alpha"!

I have a friend who bought the Hero Designer software on my recommendation. ("It installed easy, it works well, and it's easy to update!") Famous last words, right?

He installed it and discovered that there were no POWERS, for some unknown reason. So I had him downalod the Update and he said it didn't seem to make a difference, so I had him uninstall and re-install from scratch... here's what he had to say:

I just got done uninstalling and reinstalling the program. I loaded the latest update (v 1.37). When I open the program it says "version 0.0.1.9" Pre-Alpha.

Here's what I'm thinking... tell me if I'm wrong.

Is this what it's likely to say if the UPDATE.JAR is saved with the wrong name? I noticed that when install my updates it tries to automatically save them with a .ZIP extension, but if I change the file type to ALL FILES then it saves without issue as a JAR file. I'm suspecting the file in his system is probably UPDATE.JAR.ZIP

Would that cause the problem he is describing? I wish I was able to go over there and troubleshoot.

The only thing that would cause the problem that he's describing is if he had a copy of the pre-alpha of HD and was running that instead of the full version.

If he installs the update completely wrong so that HD does not recognize it, HD will simply be on v1.0 -- the only way to get a pre-1.0 version is to have that installed from the alpha/beta test and to be running that install rather than the full version.
