    <B>Background</b>:
    When Thor was able to return himself to Asgard's past and meet his fated doom at Ragnarok, the new gods of Asgard, those prophesized to lead humanity to a new golden age, appeared. Led by Vidar, son of Odin with the mighty Magni and brave Modi at his side, these new godlings have restored much of Asgard to its former glory in a few short years. The new Asgardians have yet to turn their eyes to Midgard, save for Khur the God of Mischief. Good natured and kind hearted, Khur is a lovable rogue who gets himself into trouble just to get out of it with his wits, charm, swordarm and prodigeous luck.
    However, his luck seemingly abandoned him when he entered the fortress of Loki. Closed off by order of Vidar, the Keep of Sorrows was an inviting target for the thrill seeking Khur. Little did he know he was called their not by his sense of adventure, but by the shade of the God of Evil. After a brief search, Khur found a crystal globe in the claw of a crow. Peering into the globe, he lost his soul. Loki possessed his body and then took up the crystal prison Khur's spirit now inhabited and left to once more rule all creation.
    Realizing quickly, that Khur was working agianst him and that he was an imperfect doppleganger, Loki used Khur's frequent trips to Midgard as cover for his escape. He is building a base of power on Midgard, hoping to one day soon return with an army of dark beings to help him lay waste to the new Gods.

    <b>Personality/Motivation</b>:
    Loki is power mad (and just plain mad) to the extreme. He will not tolerate failure on the part of his minions and he constantly seeks to increase his power base. Whether this be through the collection of powerful artifacts, or agents. Right now he is trying to acclimate himself to the modern era, find out what kind, if any rivals he might have and quash themm before he makes his move.

    Khur's motivations right now are to thwart Loki and get his body back. Normally he just wants to have fun, cause trouble, and tell good stories.

    <b> Powers/Tactics</b>: Although he has some potent magic at his disposal, Loki is still at a fraction of the mystical might he enjoyed before his "death" at the hands of Heimdall during the last battle of Ragnarok. He split his spirit into two parts and awaited the fated battle. The spirit that now resides in Khur's body is still coming to its own. It is more malicious than its predicessor, but is very careful. Aside from his magical might, he is a skilled swordsman and his divine form is quite a bit tougher than the average mortal. He is a skilled actor and master of disguise and intrigue.
    <b>Quote</b>:<i>"The children of Asgard will soon feel the just wrath of the One True God of Evil."</i>
    <b> Campaign Use</b>:
    If you want to use Khur on his own, before the possession or after he is cured, Lower his INT and EGO to 15 each. Raise his PRE and COM to 23 and 22 respectively, Loki's penchant for scowling and sneering has taken away from Khur's natural winsome attractiveness. Lower the VPP to 20 points Khur is a dabbler at magic, not a sorcerer. His Sorcery skill should be dropped to base INT roll (13-); give him another level with his sword and drop the Fire Magic MP. The Levels with Fire Magic MP can be swiched to PRE SKills. Lastly, lose the 5d6 unluck and replace it with 7d6 of Luck.

    Loki's Base of operations is in Millenium City, why? Don't know. The Sideways Fortress is in a side dimension, Loki and his agents enter through a mural painted on an old theatre. Loki is seeking to gather power and Khur wants to stop him, but not be obvious about it, as Loki has tortured him in the past and he doesn't want to go through that again. He often seeks to contact others through force of will when Loki is occupied with other things, this draws mystically atuned heroes to Loki's whereabouts.

    <b>Appearance</b>: Khur-Loki is a handsome, youthful man with fair skin and black hair. His eyes are blue. He wears his hair long and often has an unshaven but not bearded face. He wears greens and browns. (Loki's penchant for darker colors has led him to dark green and black, or crimson if he's feeling kingly.
    Kriegfang is a bastard sword with a black leather grip, a silver hilt and pommel. The blade is a reddish steel two large fangs adorn the blade at its base, these are fangs from Fenris.

    do you have Hero Designer?

    The main problem I have had with the hdc files on the boards is I can't click on the file. That gives me a microsoft picture it file. RIght click on the file and choose save target file. That will save an HDC file and you can open it with Hero Designer

He has been divorced for 7 years and his ex-wife Rachel has custody of thier daughter Gloria. He lives alone in a small crappy apartment downtown; his income is crippled by child support payments, which has even caused him to sell his car and walk to work. He left Princeton to marry Rachel after she got pregnant with Gloria, and didnt have the opportunity to complete his degree. His knowledge of forensics is very impressive, but without a degree he was unable to fulfill his life long dream of working for the FBI Crime Labs. His hair is thinning and his shoulders, once broad and powerful from his days as a Rower at Princeton, are starting to sag with the weight of an unhappy middle age. Outwardly he looks like just another fading former jock locked into an unsatisfying career and moving nowhere but towards his peak. His burning drive to catch criminals has been worn down to a cynical certainty that many of the worst criminals always get away with it even when caught red handed. If the glove dont fit, indeed.<br> However, 6 months ago a strange artifact crossed David's path and changed his life irrevocably. Some whack job cult of fanatics were convinced that some alien race had come (back) to Earth to elevate all mankind brave enough to join them to live among the stars, and that to take this journey with the alleged alien race they must drink poisoned Kool-Aid and leave thier mortal shells behind. They did this, and some of the evidence crossed David's desk for categorization and analysis. Late that night, working after everyone else was gone because he had nothing better to do in his little appartment, David cleared through the mundane detritus of the cult and pulled this strange triangular medallion thingy out of the evidence box. The item was captivating in its design and had strange runes or glyphs etched into it. At the center of the triangle on what appeared to be the front was a semi-hemispherical bulge with a seam running through it. Intrigued, David pried at it with his tools and finally managed to get the seam to part. That is when his life was changed forever; from the enclosure revealed by his tinkering a hideous greenish black amorphous lump oozed out and injected itself beneath David's skin. The thing oozed from Davids hand inch by painful inch to the center of his chest where it remains to this day. This caused David to go into a horrified shock, and the adrenaline rushing through his body caused a reaction with the thing in his chest. Suddenly a thin hard film oozed from the lump in his chest to cover every inch of David's body, and then hardened into an exoskeleton of sharp spines and edged plates. Calming down, David made his way to a mirror and was horrified by what he saw; taring back at him from the mirror was some hideous alien-bug-thing, with spikes and edges everywhere, ugly bulbous eyes, and some kind of complex mandible system. The shock of it was too much for him and he recovered his senses some hours later at the docks, with a trail of devastation behind him. In his disoriented state the thing had trashed David's offices and then fought through the downtown police station, seriously injuring several officers. David was able to escape suspicion because luckily for him he had stepped out for dinner earlier that night and was on archived video as having left the building. His return was filmed on the next tape which was still in the recorder and wiped out during the bug-things rampage through the station, and noone had seen him come back in. <br> Since that time the bug thing has been wanted by the Police, but David has been extremely careful to protect his identity. Over the ensuing weeks David discovered how to activate the thing in his chest and thus grow the bug-thing exoskeleton, and how to turn it off. He tested the range of his strange new abilities and discovered that he was incredibly powerful in the bug form. <br> Taking to the streets at night he started hunting drug dealers and other street criminals in the suburbs outside of Millenium City. Sniffing up the food chain he started going after minor bosses and soon will have penetrated the criminal world sufficiently to start singling out real movers and shakers. David has not been gentle in his war on crime; many criminals have been greivously wounded and some have been killed. David has a tendency to kill the ones he thinks will beat the Justice system outright. David has been appropriating funds when he comes across drug money and has been putting it all away in several off shore accounts through intermediaries in his daughters name; when her time comes she's going to inherit quite a bit of money.<br> The rumor of some kind of bug vigilante has been circulating among the street organizations, and some whisper of it was picked up by PRIMUS which has has since started to look into the matter.</td></tr><tr valign="top"><td colspan=2><b>Powers/Tactics:&nbsp;</b>Sect is basically a light brick with some interesting powers available via some strange symbiotic organism. Unfortunately, Sect is a lethal character in a kind of 4-color setting. To date he has not faced another superhuman and thugs cant really hurt him, so his tactics have thus far been leap in and kick butt. Further experience may see greater development of this area.</td></tr><tr valign="top"><td colspan=2><b>Campaign Use:&nbsp;</b>Sect is most useful as the Vigilante-that-went-to-far. The basic good guy who kills bad guys and is harassed by other Heros for it.</td></tr></table>
