Ok, this one is a mistake to even try, because personalities are so darn rich and varied, but... still, what do you like playing best as a character personality wise?
Dark and Brooding
The Fun loving joking kind of guy
Paragon of virtue
The Stranger (He's outside looking in)
The natural leader!
The pillar (You can depend on him)
Swashbuckler (It's all about style!)
The Rebel or Loner
The Dreamer
Something else I'm forgetting(elaborate please)

You forgot the Psycho!
Woohoo ...Lets here it for the Psycho.
Ummmm...sorry, thats was the other other me
dont mind me
I usually wind up playing the pillar. Sometimes I wanted to head some other way but I always seem drawn back to holding things up and together.
You said it. I play too many personalities to select a single type, so put me down for 'Other".Originally posted by Hermit

Most of me would vote for the Psycho however the dominate personality made me vote for the fun-loving type.Originally posted by lemming
You forgot the Psycho!![]()
Still playing/running 5ER in Oklahoma City.
Portugeuse Sailors... that's my favorite... I promise
Mister Vimes

Put me down for Unsure Hero. He doesn't know if he's got what it takes, or if he's a little bit crazy to be putting himself in harm's way, but he's determined to use his powers to make a difference and to help people, come what may.
Oh my god. Hermit has a poll? I love polls.
BTW. I'm usually the Joker/Atagonist...![]()

I checked 'Other' because I enjoy playing a number of different character types. My favorites have been a vigilante that started out Swashbuckling and became Dark/Brooding, a Pargon Hero's Hero and my current character a Psycho/Loner.
Now Venture will send Sampson after the rest of us, and he'll go totally sickhouse on our asses. I like my ass, gentlemen.
-The Monarch addressing his henchmen, Dia de Los Dangerous!, The Venture Bros.
Up yours, Zoidberg. Up wherever your species traditionally crams things.
-Hermes Conrad, A Clone of My Own, Futurama
Lets go be Bad Guys.
-Jayne Cobb, Serenity
I am a leaf on the wind...watch how I soar.
-Hoban 'Wash' Washburn, Serenity
Yeah, I confess, again, as polls go, this one is kind of weak as most folks incorporate degrees of traits for personalities of characters (at least in my experience). Still, it seemed like a good one to get some thoughts going.
I find I want a character that is respected, liked, or both. I'm not too big into the 'hated by a world he must protect' gloomy type. It's just a bit too masochistic for my tastes. I want my character to have folks going "Wow... " This is escapism after all. Which is why my characters have social lives
I tend to either play the joker, the Dreamer, or the Paragon. I've dabbled in them all though.
Sorry I missed the psycho. I guess I sometimes equate that with the "kills crooks because it's fun" concepts that I've seen and never cared for instead of the "madcap whacko who does right". Actually, I do have a current character who's not playing with a full deck... well, not in his head. His name's Wild CardNo relation.
Let's see, going over my major PCs.
Thundrax... The Paragon.
Citadel... The Swaggerer (the guy who's so full of himself that puncturing his ego becomes an artform).
Baby/Centurion... The Stranger.
Johnny... The Natural Leader
Two-Fist... The Pillar.
Stuntman... The Pillar
Pan (as in Peter Pan)... A Swashbuckler/Stranger.
Omega... The Swaggerer.
I''m not sure I can answer this one, Hermit.

I tend to be a Natural Leader but I have played a mean Outsider in my day.

Ok, now for the serious answer.
Going over my PCs
- Scales : Dark, Brooding, Leader
Nighthawk : Swashbuckler (and my avatar)
Calico : Psycho.
Spectrum : Paragon of virtue, though damn easy with the crowd she hangs with![]()
Ice Pirate : Very Swashbuckler
Roadrunner : Hard to say
Vetali : Pillar
Scavenger : Joker
Ghost : Fun loving
Mr. Impervious : The Pillar
Blazer : Rebel
Tarn : Pillar
Triad : Three personalities, but probably Stranger would fit
Ulrik : Stranger
Andromeda : Paragon of virtue/Psycho
And then there's all the non super characters:
- Tristan : Leader/Dreamer
Antonio : Leader/Merchant/Swashbuckler
Lee Larson : Viking Swashbuckler
Kron : Viking
Angelo : Swashbuckler
Zagora : Pillar
Joe: Warhammer FRPG; going insane
Selene : Fun loving
Dolf : Follower
Zepher : Fun Loving pixie (Invisible 8' foot pixie due to an ingame magical accident...)
Rex : Dark, Brooding
Well, the two I labeled Psychos are quite different from each other.
<img src="http://www.herogames.com/forums/attachment.php?s=&postid=4686">
Calico is a highly trained human combined with some cat like creatures. One of her disads is "Toys with prey" In play she never killed, though she said one villian was already dead when a good paramedics roll could of saved him. She also forgot about an agent she hung off a ledge.
Andromeda is a just a bit over the edge. She started off her career quite sane, but one GM pushed her over the edge. She had walked into an aircraft hanger where her dad was being held hostage. The GM ruled that her electrical FF set off all the avation fuel in the hanger killing her dad and the viper agents.
In her grief she zoomed into space used her FTL and wound up coming back to earth for a Dreadstar/Bladerunner/Rollerball type campaign. She eventually got sent back, but tends to be a bit unpredicatable and tends to heavily enforce CVKs.
Both PCs are now being used as NPCs with slightly different motives and background, but similar personalities.
