Shelton Tarsh - Oceanshore Mountain Explorer
Shelton is a prominent Graecorian Scholar from an established family. During his education, he heard of the many studies other scholars in the world were branching out into. When Shelton heard stories of the Mountain Lion Tribes making exploration and study of the Oceanshore Mountain impossible, he realized he had found his calling. Shelton begin delving into studies of mountains and training himself physically for the challange. When he learned that Maris Yorshig had adopted a similar goal for the Desert's Teeth, Shelton became obsessed so that he could become the first Graecorian to completely explore and map a mountain range. The Mountain Lion Tribe have encountered Shelton. After their initial confrontation, the Mountain Lion Tribe and Shelton have come to agreement. If he agreed to leave off their tribal caves from the maps, they will leave him be. But even with the agreement, they keep a close eye on Shelton to make sure he doesn't do anything to risk their tribe.

A paragraph of character background would help out a lot.
...and that's when the destruction began.
The stats are off if I recall correctly, as VA characters begin at 8. To be of use to 'the general community' house rules should probably be avoided.
It is built correctly, stat wise. If you add the character cost you will see it is 125 total points for a 75+75 character. There is no export template for Valdorian Age yet that I'm aware of.
I'll edit and add in a paragraph later tonight. I forgot to do that Old Man.

How about now? Does that do the trick?Originally Posted by Old Man

It does, but what is the clinging about exactly?

Ok I see now what you're doing, but well, you have a -1 cost for COM, where it should be 0, as the base is 8. Likewise, the cost of a 15 Str is 7, etc.
Building to a total of 125, using standard Hero rules, looks visually confusing. Hero Designer might be behind on this, but a bit of text editing can fix that in the output file. If you want to do it that way to make it 'faster', please put a note to such somewhere at the top so it doesn't get read otherwise by someone else as well as myself.
It's been a long time since I tried to edit anything in Hero Designer, but couldn't a template to this be made?

I have a Low Fantasy HD template floating around with all stats starting at 8, but I haven't received my copy of TVA yet so I don't know how well it conforms. Are the NCM limits also lowered? If I recall correctly, I think I reset the cost of STR to 2pts/pt, so I'd have to put it back to 1/1 for a "rules legal" Valdorian Age template.Originally Posted by arcady
As far as the available character points and disads go, that's just a matter of creating an appropriate Campaign Rules file from within HD.
NCM is still 20 but it also introduces the concept of Normal Skill Maxima that you can easily edit manually.

Super Squirrel, that should be:
4-1-18-17-6 9-7-1-8 7-26-3-23-14-18-17-8

There is a template at HeroCentral in The Valdorian Age campaign.
You can find my character in my Valdorian Age thread. You thunder stealer, you.
Also, isn't your character bypassing the skill limit with those 14-?
I am Ominous!
In fact here is the template.Originally Posted by Savinien
