HHA and Damage Sheild

Steve, I'm sure this question has been asked before, but here goes:

My character (Super Blue) Has a STR of 35 (7d6 base Damage)

If I purchase a 3d6 HHA with DamageSheild, will that give me a 10d6 Damage Sheild (i.e. do I add STR to my HHA to figure the damage on my damage sheild?)
