I can't seem to find a way to combine more than one power in a single slot in a multipower pool. Am I wrong in thinking that this is legal (eg. EB and Drain as one power in one slot in a multipower pool)?

You use the Compound Power choice, and then place it in your Power Framework.

"The HERO System is not designed to represent real life. The game is designed to represent heroic fiction as presented in comics, novels, television, and movies."
That was exactly what I was looking for! Thanks for the fast reply.
I think I've found another error though. I have a character with an EC who also has a Multipower. One of the slots in the Multipower is linked to one of the EC slots. I don't see anything in FReD that say this illeagal. It says that you can't link powers in the same framework to each other but I don't see anything that says you can't link slots in DIFFERENT frameworks to each other.
HD gives me an error and automatically moves the "offending" power outside of the framework. Is this an error in the program or am I nuts again (not unlikely...)
It is indeed illegal to Link a Multipower slot to an EC slot. Page 203 says "a slot in a Power Framework cannot add to or modify a slot in another Power Framework." The rules FAQ then clarifies this further by saying, "A character can have a Power outside a Power Framework that Links to a slot in that Framework. However, he cannot (a) Link two slots in the same Framework to each other, or (b) Link a slot in one Power Framework to a slot in another Power Framework."
Well darn....
Although as I said it's not unlikely that I'm nuts I thought I was remembering this correctly. Well...just shows to go ya!
Again, thanks for the fast replies!
So I guess it is illegal to have a MP and an EC. With the EC having a power that only works with a power in the MP (linked).
Correct. You cannot Link two different slots of a Framework...or two different slots of two different Frameworks.Originally posted by Urklore

The basic rule is that one Framework slot cannot affect, add to, Link to, etc. another Framework slot.
White Hats are for CISSPs
I'd like to think that this was further clarified in FReD. I seem to recall an official character write up in one of the villian books that used a MP with another MP linked to the first.
Actually, its rather amusing in that I rewrote the character using the official rule and a Compound Power and he ended up coming out cheaper! (more skills for me!!! WooHoo!)![]()
