Hong Kong Phooey has the cat as backup.
'We will Play Nice !' - The Society of Ben
The Tribble is angry, my friend, very angry.
People are strange when you're a Tribble, faces seem ugly when you're alone.
I was cheated out of taking power on the boards for a second year after the Bunny failed to accept a bribe. BOO HISS !!!
Captain Caveman was a classic example of ADHD. If he was focused, that big ol' club would whack the snot out of Phooey, but if something, ANYTHING, distracted him Phooey would whip the lil' furry superdude.
I love these discussions, Nobody here asks who Captain Caveman is...![]()
Now they will know why they are afraid of the dark. Now they learn why they fear the night.

Publius and others who vote for CC are missing one important point: as cool as the guy is, there's just no overcoming HKP's 12d6 of Luck (special effect: "I Meant To Do That").![]()
So long as Hong Kong Phooey has Spot to back him up, Captain Caveman receives the beating of his neanderthal life. Without the cat, Captain Caveman uses Hong Kong Phooey's face as a mop.
Either way, I still need to smack The_Hero silly: I'm gonna have the farrgin' Hong Kong Phooey theme song stuck in my head all day now...
Personally I'm waiting for the Hong Kong Phooey versus Karate Kat thread (though it may be a long wait, as I doubt many people here would remember KK if they watched it at all).
I'm not voting for CC for the record, just saying that if not for his 35-point "All the Time, Greatly Impairing" form of ADHD (waaay more than normal non-neanderthal forms of the disorder) Caveman would win. Okay, might win, the feline backup and the excessive luck are two major factors in HKP's arsenal I had not really given proper emphasis.
Klytus, the main reason I posted this was so that I could justify adding that your sig is funny as all get out, thanks for making my day![]()

I'm with Klytus, it all depends on if Spot has Hong Kong's back or not.Originally posted by Klytus

This is uncanny... you're the second person in the past two days to tell me I have a cool sig line.Originally posted by Publius

I usually change my sig line at the start of every month, but I've noticed that this message board changes the sigs even in my old posts. So either I live with it, or I'll just have to live with a single line and stick with it.
I sense a new thread topic here...
I'll grant you, HKP did have Spot to back him up, though CC did have the Teen Angels
But what can HKP do against the Cosmic VPP that is CC's Beard??? He's got everything he could ever possibly need to beat HKP in there. Now, his activation roll (SFX: Finding the right object in there) is likely an 8-, so that might give him trouble, but he always finds what he needs when he absolutely needs it, so I say..
ADVANTAGE: CAVEMAN.
(These are great topics, btw!)

It's as true today as when I started adventuring: "When in doubt, set something on fire!" - Belkar, Halfling Ranger. Order of the Stick, # 270
"Nomex, because being on fire really sucks." - Proditor & hooliganX
Perhaps but there's no way that stuff can help vs. HKF's massive luck cleverly disguised on the ol' character sheet as "Massively Incompetent yet equally Lucky" - 12d6 LuckOriginally posted by TheTemplar

CC may have the stuff, but HKP has the information. Anything he ever needs to know, he just looks it up in his Hong Kong Book of Kung Fu.Originally posted by TheTemplar

Plus Hong Kong Phooey is cooler. Used to love the whole intro and theme tune as a kid. Still do, in fact.
So that's what an invisible barrier looks like.
