    Dragon*Con

I guess this would be the best place for this. Every year in Atlanta we have Dragon*Con. It used to be a pretty big deal gaming convention (but lately the fetish crowd has sort of taken a bigger hand). I was wondering who (if anyone) had plans to come, so that we could do a face-to-face and finally meet (assassinate, gestate upon, consume, sacrifice to our dark gods) each other.

*raises hand* Me, Mrs. Vimes and Stargirl (the teenage Vimes)
    Mister Vimes
"No! Please! I'll tell you whatever you want!" the man yelled.
"Really?" said Vimes. "What's the orbital velocity of the moon?" -- (Terry Pratchett, Night Watch )

    MV:

    I intend to attend!

I've been there (a while ago!) and hope to make it this year. I am not sure of its date this year. My last time was when it was also origins in like 1990!

I really enjoyed it then. What do you men by fringe. CCG people or Vampire people?

Well, the goth/vamp crowd is pretty thick since Shite Solf is in Atlanta. I know most of their employees, but it's the fans that are annoying. The fetish and leather crowd can make it NOT family friendly sometimes, the CCG crowd in small and unobtrusive. There are three major boffer LARPS in the area and they congreagte together and cast ugly glances at one another. *grin*

The dealer's rooms are great, the game inducstry is under-represented in the Publisher's room (but it's still huge compared to 10 years ago).

    It's a geek fest, but it's fun.
