Lightbulb (Plot Seeds) Title Tag--Fantasy Edition

As with other "title tag" threads, three possible titles are presented. Pick one, create a short plot seed based on the title (with a Fantasy Hero bias, for this part of the forums), then supply a new title to bring the possibilities back up to three.

    Our Starting Three

    "Lonesome Water"

    "The Stars Count Too High"

    "Voyage of the Mayfly"

    Have fun!

    Lonesome Water-
The magic of the area has gathered in a lake, the elements of the waters in the tributary rivers contain trace elements of a mineral that traps mana with it. Over the centuries a buildup of mana has reached near critical level in the sediment.
    Until the suicide.
And now the spirit inhabits the lake, preying on any nearby it finds alone, just like it.

Flying armies of fire elementals? It is up to you to discover the reason.

    The Turn of a Coin:

One of the Adventuers find a sentient gold coin with two faces and two personalites: one of a smiling maiden on one side of the coin, the other side has the scowling face of an old crone. When the side of the young lady shows up, good forturne follows. When the old woman's face is revealed, bad luck occurs.

    The catch?

The "good luck" side happens at the tragic expense of anyone near the coinholder, while the "bad side" aids everyone except the coinholder.

Both personalities hate each ohter and bicker constantly even unto the dead of night. Worse no matter what the hero can do, he/she can't lose the coin which manages to teleport back to the coinholder's possesion. The only way to get rid of the troublesome coin is to find the luckiest liar in the area and convince him/her to shed a few drops of blood on the coin, nullifieing the coin's curse and rendering it inert.

(Why don't you guys do this like the other "tag" threads? It will make it easier to understand.) :

Would you buy a used warhorse from this man?:

After a difficult journey, one of the adventurers finds herself in need of transportation. Coincidentally, she finds a man with a horse to sell--a gray stallion, nondescript except that it seems to be in excellent condition. The adventurer easily negotiates a price that is a very good deal for the horse.

Before long, the adventurer finds that her new horse is unique. Faster and stronger than any other horse in the realm, it is also keenly intelligent and even opinionated. The adventurer is thrilled with her new acquisition... until she discovers that there are quite a few other people who are willing to do just about anything to get their hands on it.

    Stars Count Too High

(I'm actually doing this in my FR campaign as a very long underplot). The Gods are weakening. Man and Elf and Dwarf and all the sentient races are coming into their own. Magic flows more freely in the world,f or good and for ill. Elven and Dwarven birthrates are at historical highs, their races are saved...even more, ascending. Social democracy is in its infancy.

    But the cost.

Religious wars are breaking out left and right. Old societal norms are crumbling. Former holy people who had powers and the ears of their gods are commiting suicide, or worse, unspeakable atrocities in desperate attempt to regain divine favor.

Is it a Reformation? A Reineissance? Or a new Dark Age?

    {btw, this has been evolving at my table in my game for about the last 3 years. And it has led to some delicious, huge world building, birth of nations, death of nations gameplay. I have great players tackling this stuff}
