Granted, this is likely a dream (coming to another country may not be financially feasible, and the turnout may be smaller) but:

We have many HERO faithful here in Montreal.

Steph: I think we've been talking about a HERO campaign already in Private Mail, mostly in french... a post-apocalypse game?
Here I'm talking about the hope of DOJ coming to a convention here.

Well, I've added the event (http://upcoming.org/event/98265) to my obsessive lost of conventions (http://upcoming.org/group/2055), though it's outside my personal travel range.
My French is embarassingly bad these days anyway![]()
I'm not /evil/, I'm /differently motivated/...

Hello fellow Montrealer (and surrounding area... -er)
I intend to attend, but I haven't seen any HERO games posted (yet). I do hope that will change.

I don't run games myself anymore (write materials instead)... but the fact I'm way behind on my reading of FREd contributes as well.

We definitely want some Hero at RoyalCon! It's a scattered roleplaying community here and I'm trying to infiltrate the Hero world but having difficulty, so please tell all your friends. I corresponded with Steve Long, who was very helpful, but unfortunately there are no Legionnaires in the Montreal area. But I strongly encourage anyone with the slightest desire to run a game to go and sign up. We're starting to get a pretty nice collection of games on offer, but I think people are holding back for various reasons. We're trying to ignite the smoldering fires of gaming in Montreal and without Hero represented, we're not really cutting it.
As the Head of Publicity, I'm very glad to see you talking about Royalcon on these boards!

La convention de jeux de Montréal's Roleplaying Convention
Hey guys, so far we've got no Hero games at RoyalCon
Anyone out there in the Montreal area want to run a game at RoyalCon? We are really pushing for a lot of different game systems and it would be great to show Steve Long and company that Montreal can rock superheros as hard as any other city in North America.

Wish I could have pitched in on this. Unfortunately a) I don't GM games and b) I'm in the midst of editing another game project. Sorry.

Are you still going to attend the con, as a player?

I'm planning to.

Awesome! I'm bummed that we don't have any Hero games going. But the game selection isn't bad and we're building. Hopefully we will be able to grow on the success of this year and add a richer diversity of systems in the future. Judging on our registrations, it should be a pretty lively event.

Now a week later, I can confirm that it was fun. I'm suspecting the 2007 event will be even better!

I was there, also and enjoyed myself. It's a shame that there wasn't any Hero Games going.
Next year, if I can find the courage, time and a good con-game adventure, I might just run one. My hope: to play in a Hero game the next year.
(of course, if there in a game this very next year, I will try to participate)
