    That would be very cool...

The script samples I posted here can also be copied and pasted into a macro then edited and saved.

I'm hoping to remove the editing step.

This exported sheet would be easy because no formatting is needed, I just need to get the formula right and it's up to the player to copy/paste.

    Thats even better yet

Oh yeah and for all concerned, if you turn off snap to grid in the Token Config tab, the strange offset when moving along the hex grid goes away.

Now I have another question. The powers given to be by the energy being are dispel vs possesion 3d6.cv(4,2) dam 10d6 and the is a ranged killing attack 3d6.cv(1d6+1d3) .How do I change those into maptool format? Do I use a hit roll then a damage roll. The hit roll would be base on ECV . I f I'm correct in my understanding of maptools.

Does MapTool allow for wild card statements in it's macros?

If you mean an argument like ?d6, to have it ask for a number like ORPG, no, not at this time. Soon they will be implementing scripting and once that is added, we should be able to make Hero Dice, and wild card queries in macros.

Solron has his new token, his campaign file is created, and he is working on his Token Macros. I will have mine and Terries done by Thursday as well... things are coming along.

    From the GM's chair....

    1. I suggest we stick with 1.3.b9 for now and then upgrade after we've played a couple of sessions. Once we've gotten comfortable with everything, then we can look at whatever added functionality a later release might add.

    2. In regards to the Skill rolls (also Characteristic and Activation rolls) I put a simple (example) Demolitions 12-[12-3d6]. When it outputs, you can tell whether or not it is successful by whether or not the result is positive (success) or negative (not success). Does the method you describe (example) 12 - [3d6]) have the same kind of output?

    3. Are we talking about setting up the macros for the tokens or for the macro buttons?

    4. Starwolf, if you've already established a Campaign Properties standard, then perhaps you should provide it for the rest of us. Rather than each of us trying to type it in, is there a way to import it? As I understand it, everybody has to have an exact match or mine will overwrite the players and thus ruin all your hard work. If you have established them in your testing, then we can use those. Heck, even if we have to type them in, you posted them above. Just keep us appraised of any changes you may make.

    5. When you turn off snap, does it make it difficult to center tokens in the hexes? As an aside, you do release that no matter what the token size, MapTools resizes it to fit the default hex. You can make it smaller or larger by Right Clicking on the token and selecting Size.

    6. Thanks for all that hard work. I really appreciate the effort you folks throw at this campaign.

    Easy peasy....

    1. Dispel vs. Possesion [4+2-3d6] for [1d6+1d6+1d6+1d6+1d6+1d6+1d6+1d6+1d6+1d6] points of Dispel.

    2. Ego Killing Attack [4+2-3d6] for [1d6+1d3*1d6-1]. As this attack doesn't take a Hit Location, a standard Stun Lottery die is used instead.

    Does that help?

The output of my samples is similar, but I like your solution better, consider it implemented on mine and Terries macros..

I have been talking about settting up the macros for the tokens. Though the syntax works on the buttons as well. The token macros makes it MUCH easier to change characters when ever we try an alternate campaign, be it FH, SH, PH, or PAH. The drawback is that Token macros ONLY auto-execute (makes it hard to add roll modifiers on the fly.

I used the exact spelling and sequence you suggested. To set mine up, I first did my post here on the boards. Then I used cut and paste to copy the syntax from the boards and paste into the campaign properties.

Not hard at all. And no I didn;t pick up on that for the token sizing. There is also supposed to be something in the 1.3 builds called gridless maps, that allow an extremely smooth drag and drop for the tokens, but I am not sure how to implement gridless maps (that would be a GM thing).
