    Easily distracted by shiny things.

And being tied up by a beautiful amazon doesn't have anything to do with that at all?
Well, not for me. My taste in star-spangled paragons of virtue runs more in the direction of beefy super-soldiers.

Let's see, you have two things for hitting people, two things for tying them up, one that's primarily defensive but often is used offensively,

and a device that transforms thought into reality. Tough choice!

Agree, except I'd be more inclined to classify a Mother Box as a sidekick than as a device. Definitely sentient.

Next November all of you will go to the polls: you'll stand there in the polling place and make a decision. I think when you make that decision. it might be well if you would ask yourself, is Osama bin Laden still dead?

Well, actually, Mjolnir is useful for a heckuva lot more than just hitting people. Changing the weather, flying, absorbing and redirecting energy, travelling to other dimensions, teleportation, etc.
It is unclear why the bear, which was wearing ice skates at the time, attacked Mr Potapov. The bear was later shot by police. Deadly attacks are rare in the country's circuses, which often train bears to wear skates and play ice hockey.

    Re: Coolest trademark weapon

When I initially set up the poll, I felt a need to limit the vast number of comic gimmick choices out there, purely for practical reasons. That's why I specified things that are primarily used as weapons -- not Dr. Strange's amulet or the Silver Surfer's board, although they do see occasional use offensively. GL's ring would apply IMO, because while it can do nearly anything it's the basis of its owner's combat abilities. OTOH depending on the version of the character you discuss, Fate's helmet could be a weapon or the actual character.

I also specified "coolness" because some items plainly have more raw power than others. That doesn't necessarily make them cooler. I realize that makes for a subjective assessment, and I'm fine with that.

And I expected the recent Captain America and Green Lantern movies to skew the earlier poll outcome.

Dr. Fate is my favorite comics character, but a piece of headgear that causes one to become the possessed puppet of a cold higher-dimensional intelligence, grants enormous power strictly in the service of that being's agenda, and endangers one's nearest and dearest by association doesn't seem all that cool from the user's perspective.

Well, you could use the half-helm version. Wait, that one's not cool at all.
