    DH44: 5th Anniversary

I just noticed that DH44 will be the 5th anniversary issue for the 'zine. Is there anything special planned? (Do we want to plan anything special?)

That would be the issue that come out in July/August. Sadly, I won't have Foxbat for President ready in time for that issue. But it will be in Dave's hot little hands within two weeks....Bwahahhahahahaahaa!

    Did I say that?

    Yeah. Guess I did.

I have no special plans for the issue.

Besides, technically, we would do something like a double-sized 50th issue, there wouldn't be any huge surprise around issue 44, I think, at least if comic books are the model.

What in god's name could we do with issue #50 with a year to plan?

I think the 50th issue is a time to do a cool issue, maybe bigger than usual.

But at the same time, I dont want to see bigger if it just means more fluff or adding items that normaly would not make the cut.

Yeah, you guys are right. Let's let the 50th issue be our "something special."

Maybe it could be a double-sized issue, where everyone tries to fit the number 50 in it as many times as possible.

    Re: DH44: 5th Anniversary

Well, I'll see what I can do about getting an adventure ready just for that, but once this latest batch of stuff is done, I'm going to be working on Mind over Matter.

This adventure is likely way too big to go into Digital Hero unless it's done in stages. It's got around 35 character sheets, 10-15 maps, and some VERY long character backgrounds.

It contains four preludes, including a special one for teen characters. It is likely to not be ready by then.

What it does do is these things:

It fulfills my "So someone opened their mouth and now I've got Dave's back" quota for about the next five to ten years.

It is a tribute to several of my favorite comic book authors and the things they understand (And sometimes deplore) about comic books.

It is an attempt to honor the way that Rod Currie runs SuperSquad America, and the adventure is somewhat written in that kind of style.

And it even tells you what happened to Captain Unity and the Super Six.

    So get ready, true believers.

Who is the Psiconic Man...and what is his terrible secret?
